Noise limit is 101 Static and 87 DB for regular track day coming up .

Many on here use a 997 GT3 at Brdford and struggle with noise limits ?

Tks

I was there recently and a 991 GT3 had to keep short shifting to avoid breaking the limit

My 7.1 GT3 won't pass static test at Bedford without a kind noise tester and a bit of begging, it's about 1dB over. I tried in the morning when cool and then in the afternoon at about 18 degs, no joy on both. But, once on track on the SEN circuit I had no problems with drive by.

Won't make any difference for static or drive by test unless you're driving like a granny on the latter smile

I have used my 997.1 GT3 with standard exhaust at Bedford. You can do it but its a pain. Just crept through the status test bank on 101db. Once on track you will see 4 large mics on the in field. I found on most straights I had to use partial throttle and higher gears. I did get a noise warning at one point, but managed to avoid being black flagged.

Key thing is to discuss with the staff, I let them know that my car was on the limit for noise and they were happy to work with me, but, you do have to drive around the problem. Personally I found it frustrating and I wont be taking the Gt3 there again. Its a great track but on a track day I wont to be able to go flat out. Go to Silverstone instead - much better!

991 @ Bedford. Although at one point they got warning the noisy Caterham and GT3 were very close. Although would need to be very carefull which would be pita it would be a nice open safe place to learn a little. Be good if 991 gt3 was on here and could comment. Also static with 991 gt3 tricky as it'll only give 'em 4k rpm.
