Pre-Purchase Inspection Specialists

First Post so Hi to everybody. I'm looking to buy a Cayman 2.7 and am looking nationwide for the right vehicle. With a budget of £16K I will probably buy privately to get best value but hope to mitigate the risk by engaging a specialist to perform a pre-purchase inspection. I am not averse to buying sight unseen on the back of a detailed inspection and having the vehicle transported to my home in the North East. Lazy maybe but practical. Can anybody recommend such a specialist for London/Home Counties/Midlands/North West/East of England/South West?

Secondly, when I find the right vehicle and buy without meeting the seller, what would be the safest way of doing the deal?
