Very enjoyable video smile

It bought back a lot of memories of my Dad's 1979 3.3 4 speed 930 turbo in the early 80's, Minerva blue with blue leather interior, at the Time it was king of the road, Harry has it spot on!

Reminded me of when as a Very young man I "borrowed" the turbo to go see a mate in the midlands and got stopped for speeding on the A34 just past the A303 junction, the boys in blue were in an SD1, apparently they had been trying to catch me for quite as while, Top blokes though, there comment was " we are doing you for 94mph, ok" with a smile wink

pity he forgot to lift the rear wiper off the screen before opening the engine lid, schoolboy error !

good vid - agree with his assessment that it's the very early or very late cars that will or have become collectable.

Thanks for drawing my attention to this Channel on youtube, always loved his stuff when he was with EVO but hadn't noticed he had a separate channel.

The creator of EVO magazine (out of his own pocket if I remember ) the man is legendary petrolhead/pistonhead & all round good bloke.

Met him years ago at Goodwood, and felt sad to have to decline his advice to ditch my Ur quattro & go down the Scoobie route, as he was obviously in love with the JapRocket.

He does have great taste in cars. Its interesting how very very similar his 930 turbo is in many ways to my 993. They barely changed a winning formula

Hi:-)
I didnt get any pics unfortunately. Just had a lovely chilled day without hammering it too much. The back end caught me out once when i gave it too much but i had some nice full lock powerslides in 2nd out of bends. Its deffo got the front end bob and weave and as in the video above as harry said, its a unique driving experience

Where / how did he make his fortune? I appreciate he started EVO but he seemed to have plenty of money by then anyway!

His Youtube channel wont be making too much as it does not get massive viewers or subscriptions which is a shame as his stuff is top top quality.

I think its more a hobby for him to share his cars with the public. By far the best channel IMO and knocks the spots off the more serious stuff. J Leno pretty good too but I prefer Harry. There's a genuine enthusiasm for all things with four wheels.

Of the mainstream motoring journos for me Jethro Bovingdon by far the best.
