I reckon it will be gone by tomorrow. Beautiful. What a find for someone.
I do understand the no salt and wet thing. I have two P'cars at the moment that can never see the salt and hopefully the wet. A 73S and a later car but both are absolutely like brand new. Inside outside and underneath. Hence as the current custodian of these vehicles I have to maintain them as they have been maintained before.
I agree Graham car was priced fairly. Could have asked £100k and you would still have bought it if you wanted a very nice 964 C2.I do understand the no salt and wet thing. Very pleased it sold to a long time member on PH at 7am this morning

IMI A. I completely empathise with the custodian of the vehicle thing. I am not so sure that many do or would understand. They would probably think we are nuts
Completely agree - having an air cooled is a duty of care - they need preserving and enjoying in equal measure IMI A said:

Ha it was your thread resurrection that bought them to everyone's attention?! Them selling makes no difference to my life other than I'm the poorer for it in many ways now they're gone. I'd just as happily buy them for what they sold for but lack of garage space is the main issue.
May be able to buy one very special old timer to replace the two of them.
Currently looking at a 944 turbo, 964 3.6 turbo and 7.2 GT3 RS. Last car is most interesting but would happily settle for any of them. Price or engine being in the back isn't relevant as you can see from the cars I'm considering.
Thought about a 458/488 but auto boxes kills the experience a bit.
Also enjoying this.
You and I have very similar taste. Great Golf - although I like mine is subtler colours.May be able to buy one very special old timer to replace the two of them.

Indeed. grow the garage space

These are the boys for the RS6. A very good friend has had an MTM tuned Audi in his life for the past 16 years.
Out of the three 964 3.6 Turbo would be my weapon of choice.
Good luck my friend. Great to have these conundrums to solve

Well done IMI A, not a bad week. Amazing how quickly good cars go with a couple of links on PH.

I'd pick the 964 turbo 3.6 from your list. Such as great looking car.
Enjoy the hunt, I look forward to seeing what you end up choosing (and the subsequent cmoose review)!
So just to finish this thread off the selling experience through 911V was exemplary. In fact I'd say it was even better for the buyer than the seller knowing how much work 911V carried out on both cars before letting the new owners have their lovely new rides.
Thoroughly recommended whether buying or selling in fact I did recommend them to 200Plus Club above who's just sold his 993 C2S to 911V.
From a service level point of view 911V were miles ahead of any Merc AMG, Porsche or Ferrari main dealer I've dealt with to date. In fact some of those main dealers should send their sales and service staff to 911V for training. They really could learn a thing or to about how to deal with customers from Tom.

As the buyer I can confirm experience was great with Tom/911V, with excellent prep from them (not that it needed much in this condition). Thoroughly recommended whether buying or selling in fact I did recommend them to 200Plus Club above who's just sold his 993 C2S to 911V.

IMI A is a true gent answering a few questions etc I've had about the car when in reality it went through a dealer - clearly it takes a cool guy to allow someone on PH to review his cars in the first place!
It's an absolutely beautiful example both to look at and drive, and I feel almost unworthy to own it in this amazing condition along with the amazing history.
^^^
Ferrari 360 Spider, Boxster Spyder and 964 C2 Coupe - what a superb collection of retro cool and the best of Porsche's modern offerings.
Delighted its gone to a member here and always happy to answer any questions. Sadly I think the G50 3.2 Carrera Sport may well have been tucked away straight in to storage which is the worst thing for these cars if you want to keep them in tip top condition. Thought it may be the other way round i.e. the 964 C2 being put into storage!
I bought the 964 C2 with the intention of sticking some modern suspension( probably the new Ohlins with adjustable top mounts), a set of Speedlines and a G Pipe but abandoned any notion of messing around with the car after a few journeys when complete strangers were coming up to me and asking if I'd just restored her. The look of amazement when I informed interested passers by that the 964 C2 has never been restored sort of gave me a hint that it would be best to leave her as she left the factory. Be interesting to see if her new custodian tinkers with her to personalise her a bit. One off this 964 C2 is - try and find another one let alone one with her meticulous service history - to be serviced by her supplying dealer, Dick Lovett, by all of her previous 5 owners is something I've never seen before and sort of shows how special all her previous owners felt this car is. The original owner treated this 964 C2 like its a Ferrari! Looks fabulous and always steals the show when pottering about for a drive with thumbs up from lots and lots people.
