£36k for a 18k mile 996.2 C2 that's a massive OPC premium for a lower mileage car. You couldn't drive to protect the mileage or use and take a bath on value. Better off with a well maintained higher mileage car IMO.

Certainly 996 turbo money and almost 997.2 money!

Crazy price for a run of the mill 996. No warranty either for age of car - crikey there's a 997.2 up for not alot more with two years warranty! I know where my money would go.

Quite impressed an OPC was the bidder and wants to stock it, wouldn't they have to offer the standard 2 year used car warranty? Agree price is crazy but if someone really wants a low miles 996 with OPC backup...

It's not Porache Approved, so will be offered with some other warranty.

The normal Porsche OPC warranty is only for cars up to 9 years old so this wouldn't qualify but I imagine the OPC will offer some decent alternative.

That is a very good price and although £10k mark up, they did offer the OP a very good price.

I wonder how much the OPC would offer for my Turbo evil

Notice the number plate ( Porsche Classic ) these sort of prices at an OPC will hopefully help prices gradually start creeping up where they should be in the first place, 996's have always been underrated just like the 964's were until not to long ago, with asking prices like this it won't be long before my C2 is worth £25k ! Watch this space !

well I think you did very well, I don't personally think you would ever of got 26k for that privately, god knows how long the OPC will have it for 36???
Wonder if we will be looking back at this thread it 10-20 years time thinking what a bargain??!!

I think it will be very interesting to see what happens to 996 prices. I think they are kind of rising for C2's and the late C4s's but slowly, wonder if they will be like the SC and people always prefer the later 997 model ( or 3.2 back in the day) or if people start to appreciate the headlights and the way they are reasonably simple to run and maintain, or maybe the engine wows will always curb prices........I would have paid up to £20k a few months ago when I was looking for a 911

I agree - it will be interesting to see.

As I said I 'lost out' on my 930 when I sold that before the rise - but with this one - who knows. Maybe a few colectors will value them high enough.
