Thx Mermaid - you keep helping me with my colours - appreciate it .
Not sure though - when you google it you get all sorts of blues - do you know this is it or intelligent guess ? Cheers.
This is handy, although Miami Blue is not on that last.. Not sure though - when you google it you get all sorts of blues - do you know this is it or intelligent guess ? Cheers.

Just seen reference to it on the net. Sorry, not 100% definitive.

I'm not sure Miami blue is an official colour (yet??). Maybe Porsche are intoducing it as it was a VW colour?. According to a chap on this site http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-914-914-6-t... it is similar to Olympic blue.

Someone else has also had the colour mixed up but it's not completely dry in this photo. If it is a contender I'd suggest asking your dealer to organise a spray out sample which should be simple for them to do with the bodyshop they use.

I think I've found my colour ! [url]|http://thumbsnap.com/dChDiHi8[/url
How dare you Richard-this is almost identical to the colour on my MK2 Jag-they call it Cotswold Blue .
Did you get the pics of the GT Silver car ?
Saw it again today-a shade understated maybe-but that isn't always a bad thing.
Contrasts well with the black bits across the car.

Oh dam it - what I meant to say was what a crap colour - unless it's on a vintage Jag which transforms it to Awesome ! They did send me the pictures - but bared me from turning up today as they had an event on - I hope that the customer may pick up late enough for me to pop and see it beforehand - when I say pop - I mean do a 5 hour round trip ! Cheers , R

I also had the colour made up. Can confirm it is like the VW Bus. lol. However I think the car could take the coolness. Its not on the approved PTS list either. Cheers , R

Cheers thanks - can I ask are the extra colours only available to people with submitted spec that included the old PTS or anyone with a submitted spec but with a standard colour ? Edited by RSVP911 on Sunday 12th July 10:29

Yes if you have already submitted a PTS request. You can change to 1 of the extra three colours. Should be really open to all but I guess there must be some production process logic behind it.Edited by RSVP911 on Sunday 12th July 10:29

Congratulations SRVP911 on starting this very useful thread and to all the contributors along the way.
With some influence from this I have completed the revised spec of my GT3RS after the disappointment of a categorical no to Guards Red from Germany. This will be my first Porsche of the last 10 not to be in Guards Red although of course we have other different coloured cars in the family garage. In the picture above I finally saw a look that works for me just the two tones black and white show on the exterior and incorporating the side decals. For me this looks sporty, demands your attention but is not a desperate "look at me". On the interior we have highlights of Orange which supports Porsche`s theme on this models launch but just couldn't go all the way for full Lava Orange interior or exterior. Added about every available extra as over specifying is unlikely to damaged the cars retained value in the future. So you might as well enjoy the extra bits. Thanks to you we have also sorted out the best wheels. The Platinum dark grey was not an option on my previous 997.2 RS so the pictures helped along with other contributors and comments on the standard GT3 wheels. Now we wait through the summer and early Autumn to a foggy cold day in November for collection. Seems along way away.
