JBL930's twin turbo 930 F/Sale
Discussion
Just sniffing round the classifieds and spotted Johns 930 for sale.
Saw it at Maltons a few years ago and enquired but no one got back to me and it vanished.
Now here http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...
Seems like a bargain if your into a classic 911 with GT2 performance!

The 930 market is very small for the seller and buyer.
Most buyers are also looking for stock cars.
However values around 45k+-75k+ these days for a 930.
Back in pre 07 prices were rock bottom under 20k.
Those days are long gone.
where do you think the 993 engined 930 should be in that spread? Good G50 Turbos and LE's are £120k-£150k +Most buyers are also looking for stock cars.

Most buyers want stock, unless they have other ideas for the car like track etc.
There are some good one, for under that price 120k-150k even those cars will need big money spent on them over the years.
People forget these cars are old, classic Porsche's all the parts thirty years old.
Unless they have been replaced during ownership hence condition not miles.
What you think your car is worth, and what you get may not be the same. Low miles does not always make it a better car buy on condition. However much you spend on a car, its for your own enjoyment in your ownership to enjoy.

Sorry guys, been out the loop for a few days.
Had a few solid enquiries, but all were ulitimately talking of what it would yeild in 12 months.
These cars ( as we know) are not about enthusiasts anymore, but investors.
Had a guy drive down today from Supercar rooms wet his pants when he saw the car today.
Took him out for a spin, and quick squirt up the A12 made him fill them!
Said the deal was as good as done, but as one of my colleagues said, it doesnt mean a wk till its in the bank.
We will see.
Re JBL's car, someone will get themself a bargain.
Car cannot have done much since Richard Chamberlin rebuilt the engine at great expence!

I saw it in the auction held at Hedinham, but did not hang around long enough to find out if it sold.
There were a couple of 'gentlemen' sniffing round it when I was there.
When I told them I knew the car and what a labour of love it had been for the previous owner, and the money spent along with the performace gains, they just shrugged and walked away muttering half the value had been just been wiped with my info.
Usual money men just interested in a pedigree car for investment, not actually the car.
Where is it at now?

I love the look of that car (well the outside anyway), the idea behind it, the components used and the man behind it seemed like a genuinely nice chap.
However I'm not sure how well it came together? Yeah it was fast, but it kept blowing up, and I'm not sure he got the handling nailed?
It will take a certain person to buy it for sure, one with either deep pockets or very good spannering skills. Loads of mods and one off solutions to get your head around.
IF I thought it would be a straight forward ownership I would be seriously tempted to sell my GT2 for this. The car as envisaged is right up my street!
