I have not said any thing bad about the GT3 on here !

Cmoose states he tries to get his Cayman to act like a 911 (in the R modding thread) then calls me the idiot.
imo he should just buy a 911, he owns the wrong car for how he wants to drive.

That is easy to see. AND I would say that to his face. no issue
I would also ask him if he has driven a Cayman with a GT3 MC to his face as he won't answer such a simple question when he harps on how great the mod is, yet fails to fit one to his own car !

he IS the one who said
"you probably have the worst, most pathologically befuddled non-understanding of car dynamics + village idiot"

My posts are very fair.

Life is too short for stick poking.

The 996 GT3 is a fabulous car. It is an excellent write up and echos the essence of the car that you feel so attached to it. I felt the GT3 became part of you as you drove. It was such an occasion to get into and drive. But on long journeys back to back it tired you out. The design I totally agree with - it is just perfect. I think the feel of the car comes through the bucket seat. It makes such a difference to the car to sit you lower and your eyes pick up a different aspect of the road ahead and that feeds into your other senses. I did not realise the importance of the seating position until sat in the CAYR. Being that bit lower and having less between you and the car transforms the way the car feels around you.

What seats do you have in your Croc CM?

anyway to keep on topic, cmoose - did enjoy reading that. Wonder what you make of the 7 gt3 though compared to the 6 gt3....

Once again another fantastic piece; cleverly highlighting some of the cars key attributes.
Beautiful car Slippy wink
Out of interest, did you get my PM cmoose?

Good to see you still have the 997.1 GT3 V8KSN.

I may have to start doing some reviews as it seems a great way to sample more cars. wink

Fully understand ref email. I sent a lengthy pm about a week ago (it may be in a spam/junk folder or similar). If not I'll contact PH and ask where it got to as it isn't the fist time confused

The 987 is the same shell (give a little lightening) and chassis as the CR. I think the CR brings the best out of it (mine is stock). Would be interested in comments on driving 986.1 - personally I would want a hat on the car and if you are modifying for a better driving experience.

Fair enough, from the last few posts it seems you've going to get some requests for a drive now though so I await the 7 gt3 review shortly! hehe

Thanks Richie thumbup Would love to have a drive of your tweaked 7 GT3 smile
How are your penning skills wink ? I could put it out to tender between cmoose and your good self laugh

I have a lovely tweaked 996 C2 and a mental as mental can be RS, so there is potential for a gruesome twosome on offer wink I can provide the cars, digs and wine. Just an abled bodied car-botherer combined with the quill twirling skills cmoose has in spades needed wink

Nice read. Out of interest re your cayman, have you tried a Cayman R? might answer your question to whether the 987 can deliver what you want.

I enjoyed reading that, thank you to all involved. I would like more posts like this on here, much more preferable to petty squabbles and values!

My writing skills are not the best, but if anyone's interested I could post a few "stories" about my hillcimbing in my 996T.

cheers
Mark.

I think the term 'tweaked' is an understatement with that car! hehe

Looks amazing! thumbup

cmoose, would be interesting to have a back-to-back comparison with my vanilla standard 997.1 GT3, Richie's Race spec 997 RS and Slippy's GT3 don't you think?

Please....don't class me with the Demon fella. Your taking to another level here, no need for that.

Be great to meet up though, I imagine you similar to Truman Capote....in a Martini anorak ?.

Hats off to Slippy for lending his car out too....

If you are interested, I am happy to let you drive the Original Manthey K400 car, which is in my profile. It takes tweaking a street 996.1 GT3 CS to another level. I would hazard a guess, it would be the closest in terms of engine/chasis/gearbox you will get to an early Cup car on the road. Based in SE London.
