Yes of course they have put it up for some fantasy number. But the question is whether somebody will pay it and it may be too soon to say they won't. People paying 300+ for a 4.0 997RS RHD is certifiable insanity imo so who knows. It will go for much more than 200 though, unless they struggle with the spec.
And sure you know I have an RS coming. Equally, when talking of prices, aren't you interested in a GT3 or did I get that wrong?
I expect the Speciale will always be a ceiling for the 991 GT3 RS. If there's only £50k in it most punters will always opt for the Fezza for no other reason thats its more of an event. And sure you know I have an RS coming. I disagree strongly - not everyone has an unlimited budget and there are plenty of people who can afford to spend £140k (or whatever) but who would not possibly spend £190k.Likewise, while the GT3 is somewhat more outrageous than a standard 991, it can still blend in reasonably well and be used on a day to day basis and the (relative) subtlety is what appeals to some owners.

Correct AndrewD I'm interested in GT3 cars. And sure you know I have an RS coming. Equally, when talking of prices, aren't you interested in a GT3 or did I get that wrong?

I am with IM as set out above on this, much more "haves" with 190k plus, than" have not's" under 140k, about for this car, can see it settling down at 100k over, ie in line with a good Spz...maybe a bit more for early cars...Likewise, while the GT3 is somewhat more outrageous than a standard 991, it can still blend in reasonably well and be used on a day to day basis and the (relative) subtlety is what appeals to some owners.

Hmmm I agree if you're talking about a GT3 but disagree if its a GT3 RS. The Rs is hardly a shrinking violet it looks like a Le Mans refugee. In fact in many ways the Speciale looks more subtle to me than the RS (thats why I love the RS!). I've been thinking about this myself and if the GT3 RS is really lets say for arguments sake £250k I'd opt for a Special or Aperta for a bit more. The GT3 has always been a no brainer.
Sorry, my mistake, I was talking about GT3, not GT3 RS!sidicks said:

GT3 was always a car you could walk into a showroom blindfolded and sign on the dotted...Totally different price point in real world.IMI A said:

P.S I would take a 458 Speciale over a gt3 RS any day for the week.
whilst I agree to an extent...do not underestimate the following the RS has, wait till you see the scalps it has taken on some track's...As you alluded earlier, if both were the same price in RHD, the pent up demand for the 991 RS would be lesser.
Porsche do not price their cars at Ferrari levels for good reason, and the lower pricing helps speculators in a limited supply market. But if supply was unlimited... as it is in Europe, a different ball game.

If you call 20k much more then yes, otherwise somewhere between 200 and 220 buys this car. And sure you know I have an RS coming. Equally, when talking of prices, aren't you interested in a GT3 or did I get that wrong?
