Every GT & RS takes scalps, that's a given. That does not improve their desirability in this new climate for the Speciale is no slouch. And driving style/preference trumps individual track times - not those of HvS or WR.

As you alluded earlier, if both were the same price in RHD, the pent up demand for the 991 RS would be lesser.

Porsche do not price their cars at Ferrari levels for good reason, and the lower pricing helps speculators in a limited supply market. But if supply was unlimited... as it is in Europe, a different ball game.
M
missed my point...if RS and SPZ were same price point, due to the following the RS has, imv pent up demand would be no less than what it is at current prices..

don't think supply is unlimited in Eu, in fact far from it....I know to a few on here that have had depos returned....from Eu

errrr... LHD £450K

There was a RHD car for sale at £799K that I can no longer find listed.
Bonkers though bet you can get one from an Official Fezza dealer for slightly (£50k) above list - not tried though so not 100%.

Let me get this right, you believe there would be the same demand for 991 RS's at £250k, as there is at £150k?

991 GT3's were in plentiful supply in Europe and the price disparity was/is huge. 991 RS is half the number of cars, but I expect there will be plenty of sale over there at just a modest premium and not the £100k+ you are suggesting.

RHD & a buoyant UK skews demand/prices.

In UK, imv, yes absolutely..do not underestimate demand.....for the RS, ok there would be few that would say that to much for them, but imv.. from the owners that I know 150-250k would not be a deciding factor in owning a RS.

Also don't forget that the intrinsic residual value would always be based on list price, so no risk at the 250ks......

You should get an award.

You have taken 'ramping' to such a level that the word itself should be synonymous with Apolo1 bullst in the Oxford dictionary.

If this was regulated like the stock market, it would be a criminal offence.

How many GT4 and RS are you getting? 4 each?

Speaking generally you may be right. But I wouldn't choose a Speciale over an RS, personally. The standard Speciale is too quiet and rolls too much in my experience. A great car of course.

If you call 20k much more then yes, otherwise somewhere between 200 and 220 buys this car.
Is that what the seller told you?

I'm not so sure the demand would be the same. As much as the RS is a blindingly good car (best 911 yet?) it is still only a Porsche 911 - which start at £73k.

A Spaz on the other end is a Ferrari - which starts at £170k.

These massively inflated prices of Porsche's have only become a recent thing.

I know you have some fine cars -have you had the opportunity to drive them back to back?

Sums it up well, and Porsche price their cars according to their station in life worldwide. The recent aberration is not the long term yardstick.

Yes, I had a Speciale on order for last summer and I borrowed one for the weekend and drove it back to back with my 991 GT3. When I first drove the Speciale I was so excited I thought it would be noisy and mad like my 599 GTO but smaller and more nimble. I was hugely disappointed with the exhaust noise, it was way too quiet. Through sweeping twisty roads I know well the GT3 would scythe through whereas the Ferrari rolled and felt like it wanted to understeer. Great brakes though and comedy oversteer controlled by the software and systems. I concluded for me, the GT3 is the car I's drive if I wanted to go out for a serious drive and the Ferrari if I just wanted a sense of occasion. To me, the RS promises to tick both boxes. I appreciate that isn't how everybody feels and that's cool. I cancelled my Speciale order.

I'm surprised that a Fezza track special rolled and wanted to understeer on road tbh. Very interesting and helpful.

nono

Your dishonest view on here is clearly aimed at ramping prices for your own financial gain. You are effectively acting as a part-time trader and abusing your connection with Porsche to get priority and multiple orders for GT4s and RS. Therefore there is no integrity in your posts whatsoever!!

M, don't get me wrong in order to own a SPZ sticker price, an RS imv would require a few more bits, ie the 918 mag alloys, maybe a few more BHP, full CF trim, etc, but in no way imv would it look "out of school" at SPZ prices...

Also again in my experience the market decides the price.....

if that's the case why do I still own a 918, after 6 months despite turning down almost 100% profit on a weekly basis... and give all my cars back to OPCs...?

Like I said the market will decide prices...

The market pricing in Europe is telling.
