Your dishonest view on here is clearly aimed at ramping prices for your own financial gain. You are effectively acting as a part-time trader and abusing your connection with Porsche to get priority and multiple orders for GT4s and RS. Therefore there is no integrity in your posts whatsoever!!
if that's the case why do I still own a 918, after 6 months despite turning down almost 100% profit on a weekly basis... and give all my cars back to OPCs...?

Like I said the market will decide prices...
Did you not have 2?

In UK, imv, yes absolutely..do not underestimate demand.....for the RS, ok there would be few that would say that to much for them, but imv.. from the owners that I know 150-250k would not be a deciding factor in owning a RS.

Also don't forget that the intrinsic residual value would always be based on list price, so no risk at the 250ks......

I'm not so sure the demand would be the same. As much as the RS is a blindingly good car (best 911 yet?) it is still only a Porsche 911 - which start at £73k.

A Spaz on the other end is a Ferrari - which starts at £170k.

These massively inflated prices of Porsche's have only become a recent thing.
This^^. There is no way demand would be same. A massive part of the RS's appeal is the price point and the massive irony is.....you can't by one. I'm as fascinated as the next person but Porsche should really just make a few more of them, balance things out a bit and we can all get back to talking a bit more driving these things instead of constantly questioning how much everything is going to be worth.

You have taken 'ramping' to such a level that the word itself should be synonymous with Apolo1 bullst in the Oxford dictionary.

If this was regulated like the stock market, it would be a criminal offence.

How many GT4 and RS are you getting? 4 each?

Actually there's nothing really to suggest that they won't make more of them. The 991 GT3 was hyped to death on here with a gazillion convoluted reasons why there would only be 132 cars and no more. We have ended up with 300+ in the UK and a few are still being made and delivered now. Porsche are masters at limiting supply on their halo cars. Why would the 991 RS be any different. I also agree that most people are too smart to be swayed too much by Internet forums but there's no doubt the demand is there for the RS to command a premium if you can't get a new one.

So you sold one 918 and made so called 100% profit, and effectively get to have the other one for near free? Yeah, I would keep one as well.

You give all your cars back to OPC .... lol, clearly then that is your relationship in the profit sharing scheme!! OPC can't sell new cars above list. So they sell you 4 or so on the condition you sell them back through them, and you both share profits. Brilliant.

Its no surprise you have been relatively quite of recent, but now deliveries of GT4s and RSs are starting to appear, you are frequently posting and trying to ramp up prices. Your an open book.

FFS. Thirtysomething - take a look in the mirror I'd suggest. Having the cheek to accuse someone else of lack of integrity in posting for personal gain is hilarious when nearly every post of yours is aimed at talking down prices so you can buy a car more cheaply. Disagreeing with someone is fine, i have had more than a few disagreements with apolo1 wrt to various cars but rank hypocrisy of the like you have been doing is pretty bloody offputting.

Yes you are, however incorrect, without foundation and totally out of touch they are.

The only 'ramping' on here would I assume be Mr Apollo's blood pressure when having to constantly deal with accusations of manipulating the market on a forum populated by a dozen or so regulars, a few of whom continue to poke at him through a mist of green bitterness at every opportunity.
No wonder he has stopped posting as regularly.

What a lovely position to be in. Buy the latest and greatest, plus have the ability to secure multiple orders having forecast a tidy profit to be made.

Perhaps Apolo could post honestly how many 918, RS and GT4 have been ordered and then sold back into OPC after a limited time?

If I was doing it, I don't think I would have been bragging about multiple orders and talking about selling up.

In an enthusiast market is this really something to be celebrated? The lucky few who take away others chance to purchase at list price.

Is it correct for an OPC to be doing this? The OPC sells multiples of a model with the prior knowledge they are receiving the cars back to take a profit along with the original buyer in the scheme. If it wasn't a prearranged scheme the cars would simply be sold privately, cutting out the loss of rewarding the OPC. Erm.. Would corrupt be the right word?

It's a simple concept on certain models and virtually risk free, however when people are being turned down from the waiting list and this practice is going on, like I said earlier, is it really something to be celebrated!

Bit like the car - had a good poke around one at Silverstone Classic and was totally gobsmacked...

Always amazed how various cars differ so much re picture presence compared to naked eye reality - for some reason
many cars which seen to literally drip off the pages don't stack up in person. This phenomenon can inexplicably also works in reverse where
you've read and seen all the details and pics but maybe dismissed the vehicle as it just aint a 'looker' - then to be stopped in your steps when you see one..
How did that happen?? suppose its same as some people are photogenic and others (sadly me) are not...

Anyway was so looking forward to seeing this car for real and was completely underwhelmed and consequently a little sad. For me its too awkward, too bulbous and the naff plastic everywhere really is the biggest let down ever.. It might well drive like the proverbial but the whole package should include drop dead visual lust and afraid she just aint doing it!! AT ANY PRICE..

Not sure how you determine who should get one though? I'm sure a lot who are getting one initially are "enthusiasts". It's pretty simple really, just don't buy into the hype and all the "sorry sir you are not getting one" BS from the dealers. Seems the demand is there from people who have to have one now but that will abate when there's a bit more supply and Porsche have moved on to something better, which they absolutely will have to do. I'd have one tomorrow at list but I'm not paying overs and if that means I never get one, so be it.

The upcoming 991R, lightened, manual - limited production number (991 or fewer) will offer the grand money making opportunity.

If a dealer allocates more than a single unit to enable a customer to resell, that is not such a good plan for anyone.
