These guys in Swindon are good and do quite a lot of Porsche paintwork. They are a mile up the road from the OPC and seem to do most of the work on their used cars (cheaper than Dick Lovett's own bodyshop i believe). They did the front bumper on my car and can't fault it.

You do go direct to them in reality. Their approved bodyshop will have guy onsite in the OPC itself. OPC takes a small cut but makes no difference if putting through insurance. For they type of repair required I think most OPC repairers could do a job that would be hard to spot with their eyes closed. The front wings literally just clip in and out. Same with the bumper. Minor stuff.

If you have to pay a few quid more get them to do the whole front i.e. part of both wings, part of bonnet and bumper so it all blends in you should defo do so. They may do this any way but insurance companies are quite tight nowadays and incredible how an OPC approved garage occasionally willing to cut corners on making it look perfect.

Not for that sort of damage Jez. Only if the chassis kinked would they write her off IMO. Geo, wings, paint etc pennies relatively speaking

Any reason why its going to Swindon? Only reason I ask is that OPC Bristol have recently opened their own body shop on site at Cribbs. I had a tour around with the bodyshop manager a couple of weeks ago at a brand awareness event, looks like they invested huge money in it.

Maybe if you had the correct 19" wheels fitted you'd have had enough grip to stop in time or steer around the badger that you murdered.

Just kidding, hope its a good repair.

Ah I see. It would still probably be useful as a ball park figure (as I have no idea what the going rate is). No worries if you'd prefer not to divulge (even by PM).

I blame the tiny wheels. First he cruises around the 'Ring like he is looking for somewhere to park, and now he drives into a badger (rather than around one).

We now know why Noddy drives his little car so slowly.

tongue out

Hope the repairs are spot-on. I had a bumper replaced by an OPC and it was done perfectly.

Well I hope they are more honest than my local combination of OPC and Approved Bodyshop.

Dropped car off subject to it being trailered to and from north Manchester. Car came back missing 1/3rd tank of fuel and an odometer reading 120 miles higher than when I left it.

Dishonest bds!

Trust no one!

You can look after my 997 turbo whilst I am on holiday, the catch?

You have to pick it up from the official Porsche body shop and drive it home, give it a good look over, this is the third time they have it the useless bunch of xxxx
