All cooking 996 and 997 GT3's are relative bargains with the 996 gen 2 and the 997 gen 1 being probably the best value. The market generally does not appreciate the size of the performance gap between the GT3 and cooking equivalents (996/7 C2 etc) and the comparatively very small gap between the cooking GT3 and RS versions.

In addition, it also does not appreciate to Miriad of tuning options of the analogue versions compared to the digital. Most analogue 911's from the 964 to the 996 (7 more difficult) have platforms that can be simply tuned to become almost anything that the owner wants. The digital cars are pretty much what they are - exception of exhausts and minor items.
I agree with this. JZM has 3 996 GT3s for sale...different mileages and specs...low 70's to low 80's. I drove mine this weekend for the first time in a while....I have been putting more road and track miles on my McLaren. Digital vs analogue comparison indeed, the GT3 was amazing. Hello old friend. Was like having sex with the dirty girlfriend you had b4 meeting the wife. Viceral, exciting, slippery (when wet). I think I'll keep it.

Where did you get that from? And what mileage was the car?
Multiple traders at 70k and one at 75k. The car had 28k miles on it. Sold it last week privately.

Here is my personal experience with the market for what it is worth. If you look on PH right now the cheapest LHD 7.1RS for sale is £134K

I have had my car for sale over the winter and here is what I have been offered:

-Nov 2015: €170K euro (turned this down at the time).
-996GT2 + cash (I don't want the hassle of trying to sell another car.
-996GT3RS straight swap (see above).
-997GT3 + cash.
-€140K euro 3 weeks ago.
-This week €150K euro.

The pound is weak right now, so that would put off potential UK buyers and I'm not sure to what extent seasonal variation has.

Congrats on the sale - didn't take long, was a very nice looking car though.

... a big correction in the standard gt3/rs bubble we're seeing
Interestingly I think this is already being seen in Europe. Sure the supply and demand numbers are up a level to the UK but entry level prices are on a downward trajectory for sure - with a 255K euro car being posted today...

And the Euro prices still show signs of falling...

Good spec as well!

very funny on the add, seller says list price + 50,000 euro, would'nt see that kind of thing on a uk ad!

the mark up roughly equates in GBP what the overs are currently on a gt4 in the uk market not the 100k plus on the rs's. The lhd supply must be cooling the market in europe but i don't think this will drag rhd prices down

I don't see this market is going to 'fall out of bed', but I do see prices easing back. Whether it's collectors, investors or enthusiasts, there is now recognition that there is plenty of competing stock out there, and buyers don't need to rush, they can take their time and be choosy. I certainly would.

And some did very well! Seems to be the way of the market at the moment. Over if Ferrari world older 60's and 70's cars are down a bit and 90's and 00's are up a bit!

The ex-Bahrain 997 gt3 rs from silverstone auctions is up for sale at 180K, seems very expensive for a left hooker which sold at auction for 140 less than a month ago

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...

I think when people realise how greedy sellers are getting with premiums demand will ease off, unless there are people out there buying these things who dont know a thing about the market

Still too much money chasing desirable goods that are limited.

Rolex watches were on a roll a few years ago, but they have not increased their prices for about 3 years and most desirable models are easily available.

If Porsche had the capacity to produce 50% more cars, normal service would be resumed.

I notice that GC Motors in Harrogate have reduced their 918 by £175,000 if that means anything!

In fact they still have both prices on the website....

Wouldn t buy a second hand pram off them.....be interesting knowing how they got hold of the 918 outside the network. Wonder if theres a story behind this one too.

Infamous for trying to sell a certain black dog reshelled GT3 numerous times over which had been returned on several occasions by a number of unsuspecting punters.

And the 997 GT2 press car, with one careful owner!
