Is the bubble about to burst?

However, yes, the extremely obvious question I was asking was "am I too sensitive". The answer in general appears to be 'yes' but possibly understandably with values getting up there.
I've worked out that I am an oddball. I'm not great with new or as new condition stuff. When I built a new caterham, every time I drove it I looked for marks, stone chips etc. Had to sell! So I'm much happier with well used stuff. So you should either decide you are a collector and it's ok not driving it, or sell it and buy a car for driving!Bert

Yeah - I think that sums it up with me as well. It's not just cars. Anything I have that's 'nice', I try and keep nice and that usually means not using them to their full... it's probably some minor OCD.Bert
When I was a kid I'd build up RC cars with loads of upgrades and then not want to use them... counselling may be in order!
I just missed out on a Cat D V6 for cheap when I was buying the low miles car and that would have been used to death, while the other was for marvelling at!
I don't drive it hard enough to risk stacking it through my own fault, it's just a worry knowing that I can't control what other road users might do.
I'll have a watch clear out soon for similar reasons - not much point to owning them if you're worried about picking up knocks.

Room for another in your camp?Bert
I took mine to a local (very good) detailler, mainly because I hate washing cars and wanted some of that 'snake oil' to make my life easier. The guy liked the car, but started looking at chips and 'defects' (his term) in the paintwork to fix at the same time. Whilst I admired his attention to detail, I was not really bothered by a lot of the 'used' look and like you, felt that if I got the thing 'perfect' I'd then be paranoid about getting the first new chip.

Yep sold my watch collection,Got to the point of not wanting to mark them by wearing them so got rid to cure obvious mental issues, however have retained the Rolex Airking date, circa late 1980's but again tried wearing it for a day and couldn't stop thinking I might bash it so its back in the box.My 911 is also superb and very original but has stone chips to the front rear arches as its so frickin wide and the 1st owner got rid of those protection foils, but I have adjusted to that particular patina,I also just want to drive it all the time but has low miles and I don't want to get bored with it so will have to show some restraint as every time I use it it picks up another chip. When I was a kid I'd build up RC cars with loads of upgrades and then not want to use them... counselling may be in order!

If that 'RS Spec' car was the black one commissioned by a customer of Ninemeister, it is a not unreasonable price, all IMHO.

easonal, as in people tend to offload cars of this type at this time of year and buy in spring; refers more to volumes than value.

I'm guessing it's this one though I don't know much about it.If that 'RS Spec' car was the black one commissioned by a customer of Ninemeister, it is a not unreasonable price, all IMHO.
