Good afternoon all.

As we are now up to 269 pages on a prospective owners thread, I thought there might be merit is starting a thread for people to be enthaustic about their imminent new toy.

I am more than confident we have done to death 'my Spyders is lighter than yours' & 'my Cayman R is better set up than yours'. So a fresh breath of enthauism might actually focus on the new entry level GT product from Porsche.

So.... Moving swiftly on, after months of establishing a relationship with an OPC I have been fortunate enought to get my order confirmed for Nov delivery - Guards red, LWB's red stitching and a few other extras to make it work as an almost every day car. Top of my budget, but I can't wait......

Next?

Hurrah can you block certain people from this thread :-) My Dad did say don't get a Porsche son, they are driven by wkers who spout more st than is good for them. I was starting to believe he may be correct by some of the comments on there. Anyway lets keep this one on topic.....

Cant wait for mine, very excited! Even purchased another personalised reg starting GT04 especially. Also driven the PEC car and loved it. Will be my first Porsche and one of a handful of new cars purchased ever.

Nov delivery also but delayed by CTS by about 12 weeks so will be Jan. Its my Birthday in mid Jan so then would be ideal and I now have another thing to wish my life away for!

My confirmed spec is

Mexico Blue
Smokers Pack
Black supports (all are now I believe)
Platinum wheels
LWB
Clubsport
Passenger 6 point harness
Leather
Interior anthracite
Yellow stitching
Mobile Prep
CDR+

Lets hope we will get the better tyres (allegedly), they all arrive with perfect paint and early.

What did that entail? Would I be comfortable doing the same or does it involve weird things? wink

Delivery Mid September, Yellow, Clubsport, PCCB's, plus a few gadgets totting up to around £82k ...

I paid £65k for my CR a little over four years ago, and with it's track-day orientated spec and GT3 underpinnings, -- the GT4 is fabulous value at just £18k more.

Impressive. I did all that and after that drove into an OPC in a 4.0RS offering it as trade in business - they still said no. You are not telling us something smile

I am not against it all...it is new, but it is old too...ie manual and not flappy. It's designed as a trackable car at a trackable price point...mid engined so not a 911 but an intreaging alternative. Given the choice, I would add it to a 911/GT3 mix but would not want to part with one for it. So defintely interesting.

I refer to it in light hearted tone both here and with the OPC...so not desperately falling over myself. I'm in at close to list price but not at silly premiums. This thread is not meant to be about values so I will leave it there

All personal preference I guess . All I know is 70k for a new GT Porsche is an uber bargain.
