most people don't buy a £75k car with no PCM

be a hard sell later imo esp for a road car which it is.
I don't see it. The older the car gets, the more antiquated the installation. And the Porsche system isn't ground breaking to begin with.

I did consider it for resale but the more thought I gave it, the less convinced I became.

This car is due in November.

Before collection it will be detailed and wrapped with Suntek PPF. A week after collection Centre Gravity will make any alterations to the Geo.

Do they visit the dealer to do the suntek? Or does the dealer do it ? What is the approx price ? Thanks

Different companies do different things. I have chosen to have my car transported to/from the premises of the company fitting the film. This only adds about £300 to the cost.

Regarding film - prices vary between £1500 from a detailer in London to £4000 from Paintshield for a complete car. If you budgeted on £2500 I reckon you would have the best possible film covering all the vulnerable bits.

I attempted to set up a group buy on this forum but too many people want many different things. Also I got bored of reading about how PPF was a waste of money!

in 4 or 5 years yes, but I doubt you will keep it 4 years+
GT4 sales in the next 2 to 3 years will want a PCM unit imo.

Zero chance of me having the car in 4 years. My feet get far too itchy!

I'll go CS.

Doing exactly the same. Just waiting to get back of holiday before I contact Paintshield about getting a price. They did my GT3 and I was very happy with the results.

Who are you using and what price have you been quoted?

I'm also going to transport direct to PPF company from OPC after having it detailed.

Also going PCM and CS. Will use both but also think it's the most sensible combination with an eye on residuals.

Paintshield have a great relationship with Francis (Emerald Detailing). He can do the car at their premises pre and post film so that the car never has to go on the road without the film. That is an Option I am considering. Francis and Paintshield have both impressed me in the past.

I will be either using them or a chap called Nick Phelps and AutoGleam of Cambridge. These guys did an awesome job on my GT3.

It makes sense if we work out a group buy on this - we could save hundreds.

I am not ordering PCM,had it on my spyder and I don't think it made any difference to the sale of my car same as the CR so imo it will be the same for the gt4! i think colour will be more important !
Hence a basic car will sell for the same sort as money as a fully loaded one give or take £1-2k but the jury is still out on CS package !

Spec what you want - the cost will be minimal when you consider depreciation (or lack of).

Would we all have to get them done at the same time to get the group buy discount?

Are you going for full car or just front? I'd be interested in full front, sills, and inner rear arch lips. That's what I've got on the GT3. Seems to be the right level of minimum coverage.

Please email me if you have more info re: a group buy option.

Cheers

Hi Guys. My car is arriving mid Oct. Final spec below.
Have heard a few negative comments regarding comfort/ lower back support on the P11 bucket seat option from those who have sat in both - anyone on here got any informed views on the P03 vs P11 debate?
Also agonised over clubsport pack but think i'll just go for a dealer fit harness bar so I can use a harness with my P03 buckets for the occasional trackdays I do.

Apologies if I've missed it somewhere but have deliveries started in this country yet? Also when are dealers likely to confirm delivery dates. I've been quoted mid October when would expect confirmation?

Cheers
