1st cars went out in July

Cars should have build dates if OCT cars.
Not true.

I've seen today that cars with Oct build month do NOT all have build dates yet.

Doing exactly the same. Just waiting to get back of holiday before I contact Paintshield about getting a price. They did my GT3 and I was very happy with the results.

Who are you using and what price have you been quoted?

I'm also going to transport direct to PPF company from OPC after having it detailed.

Also going PCM and CS. Will use both but also think it's the most sensible combination with an eye on residuals.
Paintshield have a great relationship with Francis (Emerald Detailing). He can do the car at their premises pre and post film so that the car never has to go on the road without the film. That is an Option I am considering. Francis and Paintshield have both impressed me in the past.

I will be either using them or a chap called Nick Phelps and AutoGleam of Cambridge. These guys did an awesome job on my GT3.

It makes sense if we work out a group buy on this - we could save hundreds.
Would we all have to get them done at the same time to get the group buy discount?

Are you going for full car or just front? I'd be interested in full front, sills, and inner rear arch lips. That's what I've got on the GT3. Seems to be the right level of minimum coverage.

Please email me if you have more info re: a group buy option.

Cheers

Jack
I want the exact same coverage for film. The only way to do this is to detail the car first then wrap and followed by crystal serum. I am ok to have the car transported from opc to the installer/detailer to get this done so a group buy makes perfect sense. Please contact me if a group buy can be arranged.

The PCGB order database shows the Production month in one column and the status in another and the Estimated or Confirmed Build date in another.

The list I have here shows 5 out of 6 GT4 on order from my OPC with having Month 10 Production. Out of those 5, three of them are still "Open", One has Estimated build date and one has Confirmed Build date.

Obviously those that are still Open could slip. Because they have no buckets. Or they ran out of yellow stitching. Or whatever. But on the system they are still showing, as of yesterday, as being scheduled for month 10 production.

As I said I doubt those people without confirmed dates will get them that soon.
I have had a locked and confirmed build date for 2 months now, it's 16th Oct.

As all the parts, paint etc has to be assigned ordered etc non dated OCT builds will slip imho, we have seen that on others threads in the last week already.

How strange I was late getting allocated a car back in May and was told it would not be built until end of year!
Then I was given a November build slot but just now have been told I have a 16/10 build date and my spec needs to be locked down

Not quite as bad as their Monday morning cars.

Apparantly Red Robbo was recently found kipping in the back of a Macan as it rolled off the production line....biggrin:
