I think I have found "the one" and am inspecting it on Saturday. I have one last question for you experts - How important is Porsche specialist service history?

This car is a 2004 model year car.

It was serviced as follows:

10/04 5000 miles - Porsche Dealer
10/05 8000 miles - Porsche Dealer
10/06 11000 miles - Porsche Dealer
10/07 14000 miles - Porsche Dealer
06/09 19000 miles - Porsche Dealer

and then the potential issues:

03/11 28000 miles - Thameside Automotive (Jaguar indi specialist)
06/12 35000 miles - Thameside
06/14 49000 miles - nine excellence

Front Rads, Brakes, Trailing arms etc have been carried out by nine excellence (who based on my conversation today are just incredibly helpful and knowledgable)

The car was sold to 911Virgin (also really nice people to talk to and helpful) and then sold to the current owner about 3 months ago. 911Virgin changed the clutch and coils (I think they use Porsche Torque?).

The owner is a big Porsche fan and seems to have an envious collection. He is selling as he is about to collect his new GT (nearer the front of the queue than expected).

I've spoken to nine excellence and 911virgin and both say it is a pucker car that has been well looked after. 9E is saying will need a spark plug / major service next (and said that it was likely due about now).

The car is up at the higher end of the price band for a private sale but overall seems good. I just you experts opinion on the service record.

Thanks again.

In isolation, the 2 Thameside services wouldn't bother me at all. It would be worth looking for an invoice to see what they did and maybe google them.

But not an issue in itself.

If a non-Porsche garage were the last 2 stamps that might concern me as certain jobs could have been missed...however if it's now been through 9e and 911v I wouldn't be concerned

I would make a note of the conversation you had with 911V and 9 Excellence. Date it and outline what they said and put it in the history file. It looks good as the years go by and helps come re-sale time.
