Ive driven both manual and PDK 991 GTS 2wd and the GTS is a very good car indeed and had I not been able to get a GT4 I would quite probably have ordered one.

That said my order would have been for a manual 100% certain. I thought the manual was fantastic but the PDK ruinined the whole package - its just a big slippey automatic, fast yes but considerably less involving. I could tell in about 60secs that it just wasn't for me.

They are quite rare though, in the end my dealer had to book me in for a silverstone experience to try one every GTS they had in the dealership for about 2mths was a PDK. Sign of the times, most people just want a fast comfy economic turbo automatic im afraid. frown

Latest DVLA figures are in (up to end of Q2):

C2 GTS (manual)
2014 5
2015 22
Total 27

C4 GTS (manual)
2014 5
2015 5
Total 10

Damn rare, but prices in my view have a drop to make first.

I've ordered my 991 Targa 4 GTS with a manual box...I haven't bought this car as a race/Track car so I'm not looking to shave 10ths off my lap time around the M25 LOL if you know what I mean I'm buying a GT car for some spirited driving biggrin ......I had already made my mind up to buy a manual box but cemented my decision as I drove the PDK and the manual back to back and for me the manual is what driver invovement is about as there is a lot more interaction with the car, reading the road ahead and selecting the correct gear to suit Etc. the PDK box is amazing the seamless changes are unreal but for all intense and purposes to my mind it's an automatic and ultimately uninvolving and dare I say it eventually boring don't get me wrong on a race track PDK all the way if you want to be quick but for me driving through the Alps or down through Europe to the South of Franc / Italy I want to be involved and for me the manual box is the way to go.....oh and I bought a GTS version of the Targa as it comes with the power-up kit and chassis enhancements and other baubles which will all add to the driving experience.....roll on delivery roll on next year and some mega euro honing......thumbup

It's just completely subjective-
I find it far more enjoyable keeping both hands on the wheel
and using the ultra smooth and fast PDK paddle shift to knock down coming into corners-
it's no surprise to me that most opt for PDK these days

Great looking car! How did you find that ? Didn't see it advertised! Is the black roll hoop an "Exclusive" option ?

Made the slightest hint on Friday that I may fancy a change from the GT4 , possibly for a "Lairy" coloured GTS or Targa . 24 hrs later he'd rang all his previous sales and we had this . I saw this car when it was new in Feb and loved it but I'd only had the GT4 for 4 months so was to soon to change . Now 5 months later with a bit of deprecation on the GTS and appreciation on the GT4 it makes more sense .

Roll bar was wrapped by dealer when new . Completely reversible but I like it for the moment .

Edit : and only 890m !

Nice work from the salesman. Think the roll bar looks great in black, seem to remember reading that the 991.2 GTS Targa may be getting black as OEM. With that colour works really well.

More pics please!

PDK .... Had the last 10m in manual GT4 and next car should be the new manual GT3 so it'll be a change for the rest of this summer to be in a PDK .

By choice it would have been manual with buckets , but I,ll survive :-)

I have been trying to get production numbers for the Targa GTS for the past few months. Appears they only made them from April 2015 through November 2015. Manuals were extremely limited. My car is a black on black manual.
