Best Porsche Dealership?

I think the trouble is the experience is so varied and inconsistent.
At least two people have listed as excellent a dealership I have used before who I thought were abysmal and to whom I would never return!
I think if you have a good experience with a particular dealership then stick with them…if they let you down move on.

I think that to accurately answer the "Best" question is rather difficult as you would need to have had dealings with a number to form an accurate comparison. Personally I cannot recommend D.Lovett in Tewksbury highly enough. My buying and servicing experience has to date been beyond reproach. Leon Vitti the DP has assembled a very professional team. From passing through the door being greeted by the receptionist then moving to the sales staff ticks all the right boxes for me. Its all about being made to feel special. I cannot imagine going anywhere else to make future purchases.
Only experienced Solihull and Tewkesbury prior to buying my GTS, and both were very attentive without being pushy. However post purchase, Tewkesbury have been excellent and I wouldn't go anywhere else if this level of service remains.I would like to think all OPC were of a similar standard, I think that both the cars and the customers deserve great levels of service. It's one of the reasons you buy into a niche product I believe?

Surely all OPC have Porsche UK checking the standards , can't see the standard being any different for Porsche own retail units , nor should it be .Buster73 said:

Hey cmoose, you dont have to use an OPC to keep the warranty valid, I confirmed this with Guildford OPC when I took out my warranty. I even got it confirmed in an email so I have proof if they try and argue otherwise. You just need to keep to the service schedule, and make sure the indy uses genuine porsche parts. Which any reputable place would do.PCGB does spot checks on OPCs but these matters are internal. For example, OPCs are subject to audit by PCGB for any cars displaying Porsche Approved plates. PCGB sends inspectors at random to check the following is complied with. The Porsche Approved commitment means a number of things which can be found here:

I was told by an 'auditor' that the DP at an OPC would try to hide cars he marketed as Porsche Approved which had not completed the 111 point check. When the auditor would show up for a spot check, the DP would try to hide the cars off the forecourt and into the compound. Non compliance is reported to PCGB although I don't know what the sanctions are. PCGB tries but it's limited in what it can do.
I had a very frank conversation with senior executives at Porsche Cars North America in Atlanta. They stated that some of their dealers are better than others but that at least in a marriage you could get divorced. They could encourage them to improve but in reality they had little control. With some OPCs being more unscrupulous than others, it's important to relay both good and bad feedback to PCGB to help everyone enjoy a better customer experience. To be fair, I think there's only a few bad apples.

I know a couple of mates who wouldn't cross the doors at Newcastle Opc again , one of which now gets good service in the Midlands, at the same dealership another mate wouldn't cross the doors with.
You cannot keep everyone happy all of the time , doesn't matter what the brand.
