Yes! I will be there.

My motor will be wearing brand new Dunlop SSRs as well, so I'll have to drive slowly and scrub them in initially. The car will be re-mapped for the event by 9M so I'm praying for a good result from that. My car is also wearing new brake discs and pads (Pagid Yellows), new oil and SRF brake fluid. All it needs now is a few modifications to the nut behind the steering wheel.

It should be a great day. Lots of PHers seem to be headed there. I'm going to get lots of photos and post them here afterwards.

It's in JZ Machtech having the Manthey Suspension kit and the K410 engine upgrade which includes complete exhaust system, racing CATs and manifolds, new ECU and larger air filters. Should be 410 BHP

I'm also having the spokes on my wheels sprayed black, hate the look of the brake dust !!!

Russells MKI (Zanzibar) is in for this also, so watch out for him too !!!

In case Steve has not mentioned this, it is important to get the most recent K410 map that became available over Christmas. This deals with the lamda sensor issue, whereby several cars (including mine) suffered from the engine management warning light coming on. This was caused by the 100 cell cats degrading slightly (as they do) giving emission readings out of the programmed range - hence the warning light. In fact, this is no real issue and all that was needed was for the parameters in the map for the emission readings to be altered.

Manthey have now done this and I've just had my car remapped (as part of a general service it received over Xmas).

The remap is also a tweaked version, and I now have a dyno readout giving 431.8 PS at 7,400 rpm and 421 NM at 6,650 rpm. Olaf admitted some of this benefit was due to the good, cold conditions (11 deg C and 967 mbar) - but only around 7-8 hp, so the car is generating over 420hp now. And all this was for free!

So, as I say, worth checking with Steve.

Sadly I won't be at Bedford - heading across to the Ring for the RMA trip - I was hoping to meet Johnny in the RS, but that can wait for another day!

Kind regards

OOPS!! I misread the post! I thought the post referred to Oulton. I just saw the date and I assumed we would all be headed to Oulton where there will be a huge gathering of RSs and GT3s and similar. Yes it's Oulton I'm headed to.

Shucks, I'm a divvy. I'll have to get satnav...

Well, my car set off to the North West of England today a good 3 weeks or so ahead of me. It was taken to Colin Belton's in a transporter for its remap ahead of the Oulton day.

I have at last got the air jacks working! I bought a regulator and high pressure line from BOC (about 200 quid!). I now lease a massive bottle of compressed nitrogen from them as well. Today was D-day. It takes just over 400 PSI to lift the car. The front jack lifts first, then the back left one, then the back right one, so the car's rise into the air (if done slowly) isn't too elegant! It is very cool though seeing the car hover like a Sandspeeder in Star Wars.
