991 GT3 Prices

just out of interest I have been looking at the 991 gt3 for sale and they all seem to have sport seats and not a bucket in sight? Clearly a car like this should have some kind of buckets! Hence the cars that are not shifting!
Proper spec and mileage comforts sell well if priced correctly.£130k comfort car would be c£134k with buckets non clubsport and all other things being equal.

So you believe there will be, and rumours are well justified?
I think there is more likely to be one that not.Plus, getting hold of a car will obviously be difficult if not impossible.

Don't need to - I have 991.1 GT3 and I can't imagine significant changes between the two.

A gen 2 will be better - more power, better PCM and connectivity, more choice on interiors.Plus, getting hold of a car will obviously be difficult if not impossible.
As a no 1 fan if the GT3 surely you are in good position to secure the Gen 2. Offer them your car in part exchange

Does the car need more power? It will be a negligible extra amount (and plenty of people will suggest that the engine can't handle the current power..)!The new PCM is clearly better than the old version, but isn't a priority in a driver's car and the previous version was more than adequate!
My interior is perfect - I specced it myself!!

Maybe, buy I'm happy with my own. Sam All said:

Is this what GT3 ownership is all about now ? "Beter" used to be lighter, more powerful, stronger brakes, higher spec dampers etc, etc. Now it seems better connectivity and choice of stitching colours is of prime importance...... lsb said:

Every iteration is a tad more powerful and brakes are bigger/lighter = better. The Reds have more than enough stopping power.
The suspension has improved in leaps and bounds - don't you think - exemplary ride combined with razor sharp handling. Tyre technology has moved on too.
Connectivity is a tool for today's lifestyle.

Stitching - bespoke interior? Why not - does not add weight and keeps the customer happy. And money for old thread for Porsche. Win-win. Residuals could well be enhanced.

or better pcm / connectivity - they are distractions on the whole
interior choice - only thing it needs is the 918 seat option , or full on CS like the Mk1 996...inc front cage
but thats just my opinion

A touch more 'lower down' torque similar to the RS would be welcome.I really don't think the car needs more power.

Seem to recollect a small number of the very last cars had the Spyder buckets. However, many, including myself, prefer the folding buckets as a seat even if they are aesthetically less attractive.

I've not driven the RS, so can't compare, but it's easy to change down a gear if required!av185 said:

I doubt I'd find the Spyder buckets any more comfortable or supportive to the folding buckets in my car!v8ksn said:
There are not many facts out there apart from 'best guesses' from news outlets like this - http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/motor-shows-gene...
You are not going to get facts in this forum as there is no official release or information, what you will get is guesswork and conjecture amd what is a forum without guesswork and conjecture?

Love your enthusiasm, but really you should have bailed out at 170k , you would be laughing now instead of a little bitter.
I'm still laughing now, with a GT3 in the garage getting regular usage. Not bitter the slightest. No matter what car you buy you can guarantee that something 'better' all be along in a year or two.
Am really enjoying these ongoing posts by people who don't understand the difference between rumours and facts and who (for some reason) appear to be desperate for me to be resentful if and when the 991.2 GT3 arrives!!

This is not about you. Night follows day, gen 2 follows gen 1. You are not willing to bet against a Gen 2, or did I misunderstand? Easy money Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
