Hi,has anyone had any succsess in claiming air miles from past trips,or it a lost cause?

Thanks for prompt replies.I have Traveled to and from Australia sometimes flying via the States .Most major long hall carriers B.A-Emerates-Etihad-Virgin-Singapore-Qantas.Foolishly never bothered to claim air miles for these.Probably six or seven major trips during the last ten years.Regards Baz

Nice and easy with Virgin, no experience with the others but I'd imagine it'd be similar.

With Cathay Pacific it's a very short period, something like 3 months to claim. My wife forgot to register and claim for her miles on a trip to NZ last year but realised a month after the cutoff date, she had a bit of to/fro with them but after being escalated they did get credited when she provided her boarding cards for the relevant flights.

Also, some airlines don't rollover the miles from year to year and 'expire' them after a time.

Some don't let you claim miles for travel before you opened the account e.g. avios do this
