How about - drill a neat hole, pump glue underneath, leave weight on it overnight, then fill hole to as best match as possible?

Presumably there is just some sort of underlay under the board, so glue wouldn't really hold it down. Not that I know the answer!

Most laminates have a click system so for it to pop up would suggest that something is happening underneath.
Normally you would take up as much as you need to until you get to the damaged piece and then relay but if that is not possible if you can gently ease it up, use wood glue on the outer edges and then lots of weight on it overnight.

If wooden flooring underneath, three or four very small thin tacks, you wouldn't even notice them.

Could it of happened because there is not an 'expansion gap' at the end of the run? Laminate has expanded and has no where to go?

I recon this is a good shout! Water soaked into it? Check round the edges of room, should be a 5-10mm gap under skirting board for expansion
