My Clubsport optioned GT4 has holes cut in the carpet for a front roll cage even though one was not specced (has just the rear cage).
The dealer is investigating.
Does anyone else have a Club Sport optioned car that could confirm whether or not they have this? Some of the carpet cutting is under the floor mats but when you look you can see them running up the sill carpet.

lovely. That colour really shows off the lines to the best effect.
What's with the lack of front number plate?smile
doens't need one as his estate is so big, the car never sees a public road :-)

My CS spec'd car has pre-cuts in the carpet for the front section of cage and if you lift them up you can see the cage mounting points in the chassis. However they are not really noticable and don't detract in anyway from the interior and with the mats in place, you can't even notice them.

Can post up some pics for comparison if you want?

All correct ... it was the same in the GT3's and one of the ways in which you could tell a CS from a car that had just hd a rear cage fitted ...

I never really liked the dunlops on my car. They were sensitive when it came to pressures, had a small operating window, loud on the motorway and very slippery when cold compared to the cup 2. And I can now report that after 3 trackdays and a total of 2500 miles they are totally worn out. The fronts were basically slicks. My car has been properly aligned with as much camber as possible and at least the wear was even and edges actually not as bad as I thought they would be.

On with the cup 2s.

What is the current experience with tyres for the GT4:
- Best for road use (inc low noise)?
- Best for predominantly track (road legal)?

You see Demon, thats an antagonistic post especially to those who like Dunlops. I don't want to start an argument here with you at all but you should at least try and be a little more diplomatic.

Your reply should be something like 'i agree, I prefer the Cups too'...

This way you'll not get such bad press.

More baby foxes smile

I've not tried Dunlops so I can't compare but I love my cup 2's.

Track: as most only have had Dunlops or Cup2's the cup 2 is the better tyre by miles, better in the wet, better in the cold, better on track because it seems more stable etc etc.

for road use inc wet, then any of the new summer tyres like the sport contact 6, or the PS4 I think would be worth a try or just the older market leading Pilot Super Sport although the Sport contact 6 seems to win over that tyre now etc

I'm actually quite surprised at the performance of the Cup 2 in the wet. I don't push it to the edge but they feel good and confidence inspiring...

"I don't want to start an argument here with you at all "

you already have started one !

The Dunlops are st for the reasons stated by the poster above and confirms what I said about them on launch 2 years a go ! and why I thrown mine away 1/4 used.

Have you tried them ?
