Have you ran the Dunlops ?, off to get a cup of tea :-)
Good man!No I haven't tried them and they do get a slating but then some people have said that they like them.
I think I'll just stick with Cup 2's and they're not too expensive either from places like Camskill.
They are clearly track bias with very little cut out tread compared to a normal road tyre but with the wet performance i don't see any point in getting anything else?
Agree I did EVO triangle in a monsoon and did not fall off the road, although I did have to slow down abit, but was shocked how well they work in the wet if you keep them warm.
Cold and wet not so sure, but heat and wet they are great still.
Dunlops just fall off a cliff below 6 degrees and will kill you ;-) the tyres stiff any way and it just goes hard in the cold, then on track over heats like a bd !
I am about to fit Sport contact 6 over my much loved (for the last 4 set and 3 years) of PSS I think the SC6 is worth a try on my R for a good all round tyre.
As for the GT4 yep no reason to go off Cup's

Lots of opinionated rubbish posted on tyres, particularly as it would seem good portion of GT4's in this thread have barely been driven and/or only even used on a perfectly sunny day.
The Dunlops are actually very good tyre - Great when cold great, good in the wet (trackday in the rain last month) and consistent grip in the dry. I've just ordered another set of Dunlops as I managed to over heat the CUP 2's

Only have experience of the Dunlops as that's what was fitted. On the road I have run then from dry (UK a roads etc) through to monsoon conditions (French Autoroutes) and have no issues with grip levels or aquaplaning, but lets face it if you're on the limit of grip of either tyre on a fast A road you probably want locking up :-)
Have also used them wet and dry on the track and again didn't have issues with them going off even though i was up to over 80C on the rears, so I don't agree with the generic statement that they are crap.
However, not having tried the Michelins I cant make a comparison but will probably put Cup 2 tyres on next time to see how they compare, and then probably try something else after that. There was the same "oh your car wont work properly and will probably explode if you don't use these tyres" BS with my R35 as well, and i ignored that and found the tyres that suited me.

Whilst we are on the topic of tyres I have just changed my first set of cup2s at 7000miles. A mix of road and track use. Which I don't think is to bad. The rears are especially good, very even wear and ideal for the next track outing, the fronts are OK for tread depth but all the edges are completely gone. I changed them as it has got much more squirrely (is that a word?) in the wet, especially in the Euro monsoon conditions and I don't fancy spanking the barrier.
Anyone got any extra track wheels yet?

Perfectly happy with the Dunlops on mine; no issues at all so far. Got to remember, Demon managed to suss out that he needed his suspension set up changing based entirely on road use...must have been going way beyond the limits of the road to find that out!
You never done above 60mph in the GT4 then on the road ? Lol threads are funny when every one breaks the speeds limit, but their limit is ok !

Yes, bought a standard set to wrap around the PCCB's ... PSS's on them which I like in the cold and wet.Anyone got any extra track wheels yet?

Does anyone ever find a break in the traffic, all I get is horse boxes, caravans and oap's in micra's - roads too crowded for fast cars?
You're not getting up early enough. In summer, from 4.30am, it's delightful. Don't forget the infestations of cyclists who at this time of year are pretending they're on TdF and like to make up a road width peloton. Don't mind sensible cycling but you'd think they'd hear a car and stay to their side of the road.proper tune and dyno, at last a GT4 with 440PS ;-) all be it with 115 ron fuel and race exhaust though,
but just look at that graph and also has a short ratio in it ;-)
