Congratulations, wonder if Porsche have released a few more (again!) or whether it was a cancelled order. No question, the beautiful GT4 over the ugly M2
I am buying both!moldy said:
Hi All
Just got confirmation of a build slot in June, get in !!!
Now, just one dilema i have ordered an M2 as i had given up on the GT4, but which one to go for ? i think the M2 will also be a great car, obviously you guys are going to say ditch it and get the Porsche??
Thoughts please

Well done. I am waiting / hoping for the same kind of news but as each week passes I wonder if the boat has sailed.
Thanks, basiclly I was next in line the person before me asked for their deposit back, I was going to switch it to a macan GTS and have the M2 as well.Depending where you are on the list I would leave your deposit with them, I am going over to JCT Leeds in the next few days as they have a red, blue and yellow one going out in March I will ask if they heard about anymore batches on the horizon.
To be fair though there will be people on here who will know more

The M2 will depreciate!
I think you will be able to run an M2 for free for. 6 months if you get in before September. Taking £1000 deposits for 2017 orders.
Is this in any way familiar sounding?

Quick question for anyone who has LWB's and doesn't mind getting the measuring tape out!
Would anyone be able to tell me what the width is of the seat base between the bolsters?
I'm picking mine up in a couple of weeks and wanted to take my daughter home from the dealership in it but need to know if I can fit her car seat between the bolsters.
I hope your daughter is over twelve & of a higher stature than the norm.
Certainly don't want to rain on you parade but Porsche categorically state that if a child needs the use of a child seat i.e.
Is under the weight/height stipulations for independently using an adult front seat, then a child cannot be seated on the LWBs. There is no provision for turning off the airbag hence a triggering of the bag could prove lethal for a small child.
I have the same dilemma in my CGTS, hopefully your daughter is older than my 10 year old grandchild.
My 11 year old daughter is quite slight for her age. She bangs her head on the carbon fibre between the seat back and the headrest. Whilst she is big enough to be fine if the airbags go off, it is uncomfortable for her. I now tie something soft around this part of the seat if she comes with me. She is a sporting little girl and loves the GT4.Would anyone be able to tell me what the width is of the seat base between the bolsters?

Don't suppose you know if the yellow one has black wheels; desperate to see this combination before I'm locked in. Still looking for anyone in the north west that has either a yellow or GT silver GT4 WITH black wheels I can take a peak at.Depending where you are on the list I would leave your deposit with them, I am going over to JCT Leeds in the next few days as they have a red, blue and yellow one going out in March I will ask if they heard about anymore batches on the horizon.

Sorry it's got Titanium wheels - arrives this week and its my car. Unless there is another yellow car delivered by them in March that is...moc said:
Have you guys had any of your build \ delivery slots move around recently ?
My car was due build April, delivery May, in the last 2 weeks that has slipped back to a early July delivery.

I wonder whether all the "second batch" UK allocations are being wrapped up into one big production run, for efficiency reasons, before factory summer shut-down and/or reconfiguration of the lines to build 718 Cayman.

I still live in hope. I'm told I am currently second on the list should they get allocated any more build slots. I'm keeping my deposit there for now as if I pull it then I haven't got a chance. Which OPC are you dealing with?
Leeds, i am going tommorrow, i will ask for youCheers Lee

It'll be something like that. I would imagine that the summer shut down will see the lines reconfigured...I wonder whether all the "second batch" UK allocations are being wrapped up into one big production run, for efficiency reasons, before factory summer shut-down and/or reconfiguration of the lines to build 718 Cayman.
