I doubt that; it's not like a Carrera is unstable or performs badly on track. It would have a natural tendency to understeer with the GT3 front but balance can be fixed with suspension tweaks.
Surely if it has the extra downforce from the GT3 front, without the extra downforce at the rear, it will be more likely to oversteer compared to the GT3 (or have I misunderstood your point - again?!).First of all, i doubt the car will be quite as low as the GT3 so the aero benefits will be lesser anyway, but you are right, on paper this would mean understeering front axle and oversteering rear axle. However, you could balance this out with a few suspension tweaks quite easily. You can't make up for the lack of aero, but it needn't make the car handle any worse.

Given all the previous leaks, the fact that it's a 991.1 through and through isn't a surprise. But the fact that they will be selling it next year, at the same time as a possible 991.2 GT3 is. The look will be nearly 2 years out of date by then.
Also, 8600 rpm red line. Given that all the magic of the GT3 engine happens over the last 500 rpm, this is a massive shame.

It has a rear diffuser. That might do the trick. It might do, but would be surprised if they developed something unique for this car when the flat underfloor pieces could be nicked from a GT3 or GT3 RS.
As usual, this merely looks like a parts bin special with stupid tax added. It may not have a big wing, but it still looks to have big wheels and tyres and therefore too fast for the road. As with my argument with £100k Caymans, why wouldn't you just get yourself a nice 997 GT3...

Given it is using a variant of the GT3 RS engine (4.0) it's no surprise that the rev limit Is the same. Also, 8600 rpm red line. Given that all the magic of the GT3 engine happens over the last 500 rpm, this is a massive shame.
There is plenty of magic that happens elsewhere in the rev range, so I'm led to believe!

my GT4 does not drive like my 997.2 RS. as cars advance they have also lost something. Don't get me wrong, the Gt4 is exciting and competent.Just not in the same league as the merger RS. The steering/the gearbox/ the bag of nails mezger all combine to create it's own unique charm. Even if the next gt3 is manual, doesn't mean the 996/7 GTs will become irrelevant. And i hope values will become more sensible as I do hope to add a 996 Gt3 some day.

£136k
When an RS is £131k basic? Or is the price for exclusivity?I think it'll need a plaque on the glovebox if it is that price.
My post from the otherthread
So at 189.5k euros, cheaper than expected.
500hp, Ceramics, rear steer, 245/305 tyres and 1370kg - plastic windows, no aircon, no radio - not bad, sounds like a cool car
