I'm sure it's recording spikes --- I think it's either when the car is very loaded on an uphill bump when you can tighten the lock in the compression because you know you'll have to loosen it over the top --- or where the car runs over a curb and bounces slightly and then grips again in the "chirrup" and gentle slide that follows ??

Maybe somebody from P could tell us ?

Seems very high at 1.73, sounds like the kerb through the chicane, what colour was your GT4 as I was there also. My highest G was 1.59 and lapping in the 58s with fastest lap of 58.12. Can't remember a GT4 getting past 😜

Thanks for your comments and suggestions --- 'had a fab day at Knockhill with six or seven other GT4's and some really serious stuff !!

I'll post pics shortly, the marks appear to be wearing out --- if that makes sense !

Tyres --- I think trail braking will helps the understeer that is indicated by the high wear rate of the NSF outer shoulder ... but it's still an obvious issue.

Max G seen was I think 1.73 lateral --- but I'll post the pic.

I should be running out of internet anytime now !!!

P.S. I'm going to use them till they wear out --- if they do. And if they do I'll fit a set of Surface Transform and have the original set refurbished by SICOM ...

ready for the track season, C5 wheel armor to stop all that dust inbeding into the paint/alloy, it just wipes off ;-)
takes a while as you need ultra clean wheels but with the heat of brake dust bedding into the paint, protection had to be done.

Wipe and go now

Yes I did borrow a compressor -- or rather you saw me struggling and very kindly insisted that I should, thank-you !

That was why I was asking earlier if I was missing a trick to post a topic saying thanks for such an exciting and hospitable day smile

10 lbs into each of four tyres is ... tiring with a foot pump !

I have no idea what times I was putting in, it was my first time .... but there was a pretty quick yellow Boxster in race tire that I overtook fairly easily ...

But then he "spoilt" it and said that he had wanted to see which of the two was faster accelerating out of the hairpin along the pit straight ... so maybe he just let me past smile

A great day !!

Really glad you enjoyed it, thats what its all about. I thought the driving standard was very good to be honest and its a tricky wee circuit.

My car tested 99db @ 5200rpm yesterday. If anything I went slightly over the requested revs. Clutch in, AC off, windows down ;>

Maybe mine is a quiet one? Looks like it'll be safe for 101db days. Good news as noise testing is a worry I'd rather avoid.

I was pretty sure that was you Chris as you were taking plenty of curb as usual! wink Nice driving by LindsayMac.....that chap's face as he pulled out of the pits was a picture! biggrin Looks a tricky track to drive with quite a bit of off camber through the chicane and esses in the early part of the lap.

The hairpin is actually one of the more tricky corners because it's so easy to wash out !

It's certainly a place to re-visit with brave pants on smile
