Great day today.
Nice to meet Ian, Ian, Chris, Tim, Dave, Darren etc etc etc.
I didn't die on the first lap. Car was mega, as always.
Dave's pyro showed up some interesting things. Namely, as I suspected and have said before, driving style will dictate what you do to your tyres more than geo will. I was clearly driving my car far more from the rear. My fronts were very even across the width temp-wise, but the outside of the rears were a bit warmer than the insides.
I'm running stock geo with stock bars on Cup2's
Little lap from later in the day:

+1 on that Jack. It was a fantastic day out. A little messy in the morning with a number of numpties causing red flags but brilliant in the afternoon. Fantastic show put on by the GT4 boys (I think there were nine?) and the Cayman Rs as a support act. Exemplary driving from all the boys today. Thanks to Darren and Ian in the red GT4s for the passenger laps.
Yes a great day and new friends made
How many GT4's were there ? Three red, three yellow, one silver and two white ?? Wow !!
I was also running stock geo with M PSCup2's --- the day was hot and things got pretty squirmy once tyre pressures reached 34psi and temperatures reached into the 70 degrees C !!
I have to say, I'm tired now
97 litres burnt on track and I reckon close to 180 miles ... hot stuff and Fab !!

Really was a great day. Late afternoon the track was very quiet and driving standards really good. The less said about the stop start morning session the better.
Thanks to Chris, Tim and Steve for pax laps.
Good to catch up with everyone and to put faces to names and Internet reputations...??????
Special mention for the Jag boys, hilarious.

Nice work Jack, I assume James was driving that lap being off the pace
Looks like you had a great day for it, how did you find Jarvin as an organiser and what did you think about driving standards etc?
Lol! At least I didn't lose a splitter, hit the grass a few times and spin.... *cough* Mike *cough* :PLooks like you had a great day for it, how did you find Jarvin as an organiser and what did you think about driving standards etc?
The morning had about 6 or 7 red flags for offs. The most I've ever seen and no excuse given the weather conditions. There were a few repeat offenders that didn't seem to get admonished for their behaviour, which was a shame. But the day was otherwise ok. Very very quiet by mid afternoon and could do multiple pretty clear laps. Numbers were on the high side for such a short circuit. I believe 70 attendees. So in the morning even when the circuit was open there were queues in the pit lane.
Didn't stop us all having a good time though.
Oh, and should also add, if you look at the vid I posted above you can hear I was having to short shift on the start/finish straight.
I was black flagged after lunch for exceeding the 98db driveby limit (98.6db)
Apparently I should have stayed over to the right coming down the straight as that makes a big difference. Chris W said he was using full throttle, sticking right, and was only hitting 96db.
Another lesson learnt.

Interesting that. I didn't have issues on the bat day a few weeks ago (or in a 12c with sports exhaust last year either) on full throttle but I was keeping mostly to the right.I was black flagged after lunch for exceeding the 98db driveby limit (98.6db)

Always stay to the right, until you pass the gantry on the pit straight, mic on pit wall about 5m in front, have to short shift with the GT3 as well , thanks for the Javlin review.I was black flagged after lunch for exceeding the 98db driveby limit (98.6db)

It was a pleasure to meet everyone. Thank you for the pax rides etc - I learned so much.
Who is coming to Silverstone on Thursday for some more...?
I'll be there in the Cup car doing some Corporate stuff. If i get time i'll pop over and say hello. What colour is your GT4?It was a pleasure to meet everyone. Thank you for the pax rides etc - I learned so much.

It would be great to put a face to a name.Look for the two white GT4's. Mine is the more desirable one with the metallic paint. If you have a problem determining which is which, I'll show you how my dealer demonstrated identifying a metallic car using the torch on an iPhone. The plain white one seems faster also. Luckily I can't remember how much extra the metallic paint cost me!
If there's any chance of a pax lap in your cup car I'd be thrilled.
Ian
