Who on earth pays a deposit to someone they have never met for a car they have never seen?!
A silly remark, lots have taken 4 deposits of 500 on different cars just this week...........We are legitimate and they are refundable.
If was a reputable dealer for a rare and in demand car, then maybe a different situation or although personally I still wouldn't.

Send me a 10% deposit via western union& I will take it off the market for you.
Deal?
The car was about10% below market put on the site on Friday, the owner responded with correct details, lived near Exeter his name and address checked out he was away for the week end would be back Monday. My friend couldnt get down from Burton until Tuesday only way he could secure it.

What was the mileage & gearbox type? Has your friend managed to get his deposit back?
