In fairness, those were the words that came out of Preuninger's mouth. The GT models have to be fastest. He was so pleased to offer us enthusiasts the 911R because it did not have to set the best lap time.
The problem is, they did not offer the 991R to us - at least I did not get one despite very early LoI...

Mine is apparently finished tomorrow (1st July) and up for delivery around the 15th but could be a week later. I'm told it could be the last one produced. its certainly one of the last.

The 6000+ units is a false internet rumour
If they made 6k, that would mean that one in every 5 991s that are made would be an RS. Outside track days and showrooms, I am yet to see a single RS on the road......
So how many do you think? 6k 991 GT3's built.

Given that even I - who has never bought a new Porsche - could have gotten one after calling a few OPCs after the car was officially presented, I assume that quite a few were built. I have heard anything from 3k to 9k cars, the truth probably lies somewhere in between.

I am sticking to my 6k number, if some believe it is 2500, all I will say is the market has moved on & is much bigger/wider.

Your car is far from the last !
Mine due beginning of August.
My dealer have a Sept build and US customers have Oct Builds.
But still 2500 ''ish.
Production has been held up yet again due to a shortage of parts again .

Really? Jeez that's the total opposite of what the OPC told me. If that's the case then it could be a lot more than the 2500. October builds? Amazing.

From memory, you have Speciale as well - which one of those two do you prefer on road and track / which would you keep if you could only have one?
Cheers
