Hi All,

I have done a search and found many threads on this general topic, however I am slightly confused. I have just bought a 2005 Cayenne Turbo, however the disks are way out of date. Has anyone updated recently and have a noddys guide in terms of how to do the upgrade. I am new to this, and so far have found how to determine the PCM version of software, and will be conducting a search to find the CD/DVD player that houses the Nav Disk as I do not know where that is either!

Thanks in advance for any help, always appreciated.

my Turbo S the sat nav CD player is under the drivers seat

I obtained the upgrade disc direct from Germany (it was a lot cheaper)

The disk goes in and the PCM asks if you want to upgrade

Its strightforward

Did you update the software first?

From Porsche Germany or somewhere else?

I was going to use this lot for an update to my PCM 2.1

I used Rusty from censored

Upgraded the software on PCM and then inserted the disk in the sat nav....all worked a treat. All for a very reasonable fee.

Yes, I upgraded the PCM software first

The CD I purchased was definitely 'grey' in colour (if you know what I mean), it cost about £20

Just ordered from Rusty from censored

His site doesn't seem to refer to Porsches, just BMW and RR but he does PCM upgrades.

Hi Adam - I needed to update the software first too - to 2.1c IIRC. After that the sat nav worked fine.
