If you could ask Porsche to build your perfect 911..
Discussion
I've built my perfect 911 a few times. There is always a compromise. What you would like today might not quite fit tomorrow. A RUF CTR Yellowbird or a big HP 993GT2 would sort of fit the bill. But they are a handful to drive on the road. My nuances would never be water cooled in preference save for a 962 but that would not make a good road car.
This :
with an additional 80-100hp, Ohlins TTX's, front lift, neatly integrated nav, Bluetooth, and dare I say it air con (and the highest quality carbon fibre panels to mitigate the weight of that air con)
Oh, and a set of the original sand cast BBS E88's.
May as well have it in Riviera, Mexico or Voodoo whilst you're at it too.
Job, jobbed.

For me it would be not far off what Singer are doing, but in a pretty much standard looking 964 or 993 without all the chintz. I like the old functional interior and relatively tiny dimensions.
A 997 GT3 or 991R in a C2-look 996 or 997 is similarly appealing.
Big capability in a subtle package is what would sell to me.
So a 911R with no stripes is as close as it gets for a new Porsche for me.

Wow. Some of them replies makes even my 500hp 991 2wd Targa-R 4.0 PDK-S sound pretty boring
For me I think the 991 is the best shape yet. I also like the size and prefer the 991 bulk to the slimmer air-cooled models. Rear seats in the 991 are almost satisfactory now too. Good shout on manual roof panel on the Targa - could always fit the ducktail then

A perfect 911 for me would be something along the lines of a 997.2 RS (preferably the 4.0) with a set of Exe-Tc motorsport dampers for more on-road compliance and a modern sat-nav with itinerary planning functions, bluetooth and speed camera alerts etc. Some additional sound deadening would not go amiss and would not detract from the enjoyment of the car but will make it more of a nicer place to be on long journeys.
Exterior would be along the lines of a 997 GTS (you can keep the centre-locks)
That for me would be pretty much perfect as a car to own, learn and cherish to my grave.
.... an 'analogue' 991 R if you like
Would love to see a photoshopped one actually

to be fair Porsche have built the perfect 911 themselves over the years - no need for Singer but the worlds a better place with them reimagining Porsches finest.
A bog standard Carrera 3.2 is a pretty good steer. No PAS, ABS hence very precise. Wonderful character to engine and powerful if you have a good one but it would be nice if it could be rebuilt with 385bhp revving out to 8000 rpm. 230 bhp plenty of power to have fun on our speed camera infested roads having said that. Glorious cars.
