Porsche 987/997 Bluetooth music options
Discussion
Gents,
I've spent the after looking through various threads on here and just about everywhere in fact - I want to find out which BT set up I can use to get my car to play my Spotify music.
So far there are the following:
Denison 500 - circa £300
Parrot mki9200 - circa £145
iSimple - circa £90
Mobridge - £500++
I cant really see which one is vastly better than the others as they all seem to have good/bad features. What are other 987 users using please?

I opted for an el cheapo Bluetooth to FM transmitter for a princely sum of £8 of eBay! Sound quality is pretty good, just a little hiss at very low volume but at volume I'd say it was not far of CD quality. Gives me a handy twin USB socket at the same time to charge my iPhone ! Best of all as I use Waze and google maps on my phone for satnav i get the voice commands over the Spotify music , it even lowers the volume . Can be used as hands free too and even that's not to bad ! I was amazed for £8 , and no fitting , I transfer it from vehicle to vehicle ! I doubt it will be as good as any you have picked but it certainly does the job http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Bluetooth-Car-Kit-Wire...
I have a Dension Gateway 500S
It works OK, can be a bit difficult to navigate the menus but you do eventually get used to it. Sound quality is good, it streams via bluetooth without any problems and the handsfree is OK but not great.
It was a bh to fit, mainly because I didn't have a clue how the MOST system worked and the instructions are nearly useless. I had lots of issues once I got it up and running, in the end Dension swapped my unit and it has been OK ever since. I put my unit behind the center console as putting it in the frunk can cause signal problems.
