that doesn't look too bad considering the recent investment made by the previous owner.

I talk to the previous owner quite a lot, it's a stunning car & worth every penny imho.

9e30 conversion makes for a very, very fast car.

Looks lovely.

Though I don't understand why you'd take a nice low mileage manual 996 turbo and spend £20k on it in June 2016, drive it for 1,500 miles and then put it up for sale for £58k in Feb 2017.

The standard car was worth £40-45k.

peoples circumstances sometimes change - who knows !
If I hadn't just bought a car, my check book may have been coming out for this
Having seen some of 9e's work, it will be a good 'un

Probably did a few Vmax runs and then got bored?

Whilst this car would more than likely do over 200mph at VMAX with a tail wind its set up is more suited to being the perfect daily driver - sweet spot for tuned 996 turbos in my view - as quick as a 997 GT2 with handling and brakes to match.

Owner obviously needed a turbo refresh so thought he'd go the whole hog and buy a 9e 30 power pack for a few quid more. Never seen this car at VMAX or Terminal Velocity.

Lovely. Bit of a waste only doing 1.5k miles in it though.

Is the owner on here?

I'll be getting in contact about this one i think. I was looking for a replacement for the Audi and had been thinking GT2 but this fits the bill nicely!

I'd love to know and FWIW reckon it would actually help the sale. Seems a lovely motor to have 'created' and then walk away from. It seems to have been done without regard for expense and with no lack of taste; the BBS wheels, the GT2 bodywork all looks quality IMHO.

I can only think that some radical change in circumstances has necessitated such a disposal. My money is on:
  • Health/death
  • Financial difficulties
  • Loss of licence
And not necessarily in that order. hehe

Guy who sold it works offshore quite a lot, & wanted to free up some cash for another project. Think he's got a Lotus track car now. Spoke in length about the car before he went 9e30, it was the second time he owned it so no worries there!

9e do outstanding work, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car fettled by them, Ken is very particular & won't tune a car that isn't safe & in good enough condition to have the work done.

Mods on that car are easily over 30k, plus you get a car that will keep an aventador honest!

Here's the 9e price list.

997 turbo pricing up to 9E30 is more expensive than 996 Turbo. There are options with each as well.

9E40 - from £2895+VAT
9E38 - from £6495+VAT
9E30 - from £15995+VAT
9E28 - from £16995+VAT
9E25 - from £29995+VAT - need to then select engine
9E20 - from £45000+VAT - need to then select engine
9E17 - from £55000+VAT - need to then select engine
9EXX - from £200k plus VAT (includes engine)

Engines
3.6L - fully upgraded £16k plus vat
3.8L - fully upgraded £20k plus vat
4.0L - fully upgraded £30k plus vat
4.1L - fully upgraded £45k plus vat
4.3L - POA

Gearboxes
- upgraded tiptronic box - £7000 plus vat
- upgraded manual - from £10k to £25k depending on options.

Brakes and suspension
- Generally 10k if doing both.

here's the thread on the car - looks to be one of the most sorted 996 turbos out there IMO - no expense spared
