I'm entitled to have a view, by not being 'in the industry' doesn't take away that right, nor can you. The bottom line is that I'm not taking AP's word as gospel, as there have been no formal announcements on another GT4. Certainly hope there is one and it will be an F6 though, and at no point have I suggested otherwise.

End of from my end, enjoy the rest of your day cmoose smile and sorry to the OP that this thread has gone off topic.

Well i wouldn't make a very good detective!

Sat watching the livestream on Tuesday morning convinced that i was going to see a GT4RS and nothing. Gutted.

I'll have to keep dreaming of one for another year

The concept of a GT4 RS doesn't sit right with me. The GT4 is an entry level GT product, why make a souped up version of an entry level car? I don't see Porsche ever making one.

I think the next GT4 release, if one comes, will be a vanilla GT4 based on the 718 platform.

Well I did say 100% zero chance of it yes

Panamera Sport Turismo thing and 991.2 GT3 for Geneva, and GT2RS later in the year.

Wingless GT3's, GT4 RS, 911T and 991.2 GT3 RS are complete speculation right now, probably all originating from Rennlist with the VIP and cleaning lady rubbish.

A GT4RS was never going to launch at Geneva. As far as I know, nothing has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring or anywhere else. Compare that to the GT3 - it's been regularly testing for the past year!

I've been told a mule exists by an insider. Its quite possible that they're playing with the idea.
If you have a GT2 RS and a GT3 RS why not a GT4 RS? Makes sense to me...

What a complete weapon it'd be!

I still think 3.8 NA manual and PDK with 415PS for GT4 Gen2 and Clubsport race version with PDK turbo for competition torque. Not sure how different road/race engine complies with GT4 regs but Gen1 had different gearboxes and it is a BoP formula.

That sounded like a 'no' - or, at best, a 'maybe but it's not coming soon'.

It seems that "capacity" is the limiting factor.

Well we have GT3, GT2RS and then the heavily rumoured "T"....I wonder if the latter will be the 991's limited edition run out model like the Sport Classic was for the 997. Although that, of course, was Porsche Exclusive and not a product of the GT Dept. So you can see where the capacity issue is! 718 is still less than 12 months old isn't it ? So very easy to see it being at least another year away on that basis. They haven't even launched the 718 GTS yet !
