Couldn’t see how to post a new topic! So thought I’d reply to this one..

Need some front tyres on my 997c4s cab. Currently got n rated ps2s all round. What does everyone think I should replace just the fronts with? Ps4s’s?
Thanks
Just had a full set of PS 2 fitted 2 weeks ago for a 996 c4s, bought from black circles and fitted by local dealer, replaced the conti's that was on the car.
Very pleased with so far but prob only 100 miles......

Have also just replaced my old PS2`s with a fresh set of 4. Have been very impressed with the last set of PS2`s and can`t fault them so stuck with them again.

18 months on, it looks like nobody can find me any PS2s.. The only option for 285/30 R18 looks to be the Cup 2.

Plenty more options for the front 235/40 R18 (including the PS4), but not much good if I can't match the rears.

Anyone got any tips?

Have you asked your OPC?

They often seem to have a supply when one one else has and they can be surprising competitive on cost too.

Of course! I'm an idiot, thank you. Not long ago I was looking at these on Camskill and didn't buy any - a few months later I could remember seeing them somewhere, but was drawing a blank.

Thanks again,

PS2's are fantastic tyres.

Get to experience the full glory of the 911 handling characteristic at quite slow road speeds ... smile

I took out my 996 GT3 on very recent PS2' last Saturday.

I have become used to my GT4 on PS Cups.

I couldn't understand why in long sweepers as I lifted off to slow down, I was experiencing the opposite of understeer. It took me a moment to realise .... but it was fun !

I even double checked my tyre pressures ... all spot-on.

Purchased a set of 4 x 18” PS2s N ratedfor my 996 from Costco for about £460 fitted a few months back. Very recent manufacture date and ordered direct from Michelin so they were still available in 2019. It was £450 for the PS4s but they didn’t want to fit them to a Porsche as were not N rated at that size.

I had a couple of N rated PS2's fitted to my 911 last week, date coded this year from my OPC so they are still in production and available.
