Yeah, I never actually owned mine. It was my parents'. In fact I got through about three Metros. Killed one of them!

My first car was the 1989 Caterham Seven.

However, I do believe that Scottster had a V5 in his name for the Dolomite...

Not a bad first car to own (the Caterham not the Dolomite ) Mine was a works arched Mk1 Escort, so I suppose I was a MaxP boy in my day.

Hi everyone,

Good to see some useful info about 911 & 964 Speedsters on the web at last.

I run the Speedster Register for the Porsche Club GB and own a 1989 car. I thought you might be interested in what I have learnt about these cars.

64 RHD 911's and 14 RHD 964's were imported by Porsche cars GB.
As far as I am aware all of the 911's were turbo bodied and all of the 964's were narrow.
I do know of 1 RHD narrow 911 but this is an import from New Zealand (its currently for sale).
Porsche did manufacture and handful of turbo bodied 964's under it's special wish programme, I have seen photos of such cars and am confident this option was not on any of the UK cars.

Have you tested a 911 model yet, you are welcome to have a go in mine and post your thoughts on the site.

If anyone has anymore questions feel free to ask away.

For more info check the Porsche Clubs website www.porscheclubgb.com and click on the Speedster link under Registers.
