Odd that Porsche are now having exactly the same problem Jaguar had last year (heaters). Given the iPace is made in Austria it could well be the same supplier. You would have thought this would have been remedied by now. It has been going for nearly 2 years. Jaguar seemed to have cracked it (he says hopefully....).

Took them about 3 weeks to collect mine.

It's been at OPC 2 weeks now and I have yet to hear any update.

It's definitely an issue. Heater on my Taycan has failed twice. Initially in at OPC for 6 weeks. Recently got it back after 2 weeks. Pain in the @rse!

Except that I would, now willingly sell mine but it seems OPC buyer is incredibly illusive. 2+ weeks in hibernation it seems.

I think there are lots of used cars at OPC’s as well because there were a huge amount of new cars delivered in Dec. OPC Silverstone had 90 AUC cars two weeks ago…down to a mere 72 now. That is still 20 more than they would normally have.

Was surfing OPC new cars last night on Porsche UK site. Loads of new high spec Cayennes on at anything up to £20k under list. Some, not all, have a button to "see this car on the configurator", where you obviously see the standard price and price of all the extras, which gives easy visibility of the discount vs the price it's on sale at. Only looked at Cayennes - intersedted to know if anyone has similar stats on other models?

Good job it’s not a forced sale!
Anyway, good news is GT3 should be sorted next week.

Currently immediately available new on Porsche site:

Cayman 1
Taycan 23
Panamera 31
Cayenne 41

All ridiculously over-specced and priced. Can't see the bargains you are referring to.

Looking at the new cars available half the OPC’s don’t have a single new car listed….you’d have to assume that’s because they don’t want to list them rather than don’t have any. Guesstimate of the amount of cars those OPC’s have and then a guess at the number of sports cars….real number is a big number.

What do you think the response would be if you walked in and asked to buy a new 911? Soon.

Dealers are quoting 12months for a Boxster unless you order the 'Style' version, which seems to be an extra £5k for unwanted graphics and wheels.

You can remove the ‘stickers’ and just order a normal one with slightly better equipment.

I think with most OPC’s they’d ask you if you wanted the 992 that a customer has just cancelled. People on here have very recently reported being offered 911’s

I couldn't believe what I was hearing, so I can never own a high end Porsche? So the Rich get richer

Yes, you can delete the stickers etc, but you are still paying for them! ‘Delete’ is a ‘no cost option’ that only Porsche could get away with!

To be fair I don’t think you’re just paying for the stickers, there’s a whole host of other options included in the ‘Style’ that are cost options in the base like climate, rear cam, the multi function wheel, 20” alloys etc..
