It used to be acceptable to overlay mph markings on a kph speedo. Has that changed?
Also, are you sure about the odometer/mileometer requirement? If so, that too would be a change.

If u take the overlay route it will pass the Mot cos that does nt count, if however u need a Single Vehicle Approval u need mileometer in miles and working , i last had to do this at Yeading 4 years ago [on another 993 GT2 ] well inside the 10 year limit then ................specifically checked ................Theres some DVLA explanatory leaflet on SVA s its on there i think ........

I may have this wrong, but in this case he'll be able to get a CoC from PCGB, and therefore would not need to get SVA inspection, right?

Any chance u can use Luton , last time i went to Stanmore was not a happy experience , i admit i dislike form filling etc and am not very good at it but Luton to my surprise are very very helpful ,they talk to u for a start and explain till u understand , when the actual date of manufacture was in question, as opposed to date of 1st reg and i found some extra proof to substansiate a registration for Jan and not wait till May [or go the SVA route] they listened on the phone and prduced a tax disc and reg within 12 hours of me popping up there..............
