Just called them and to do a set of 18" Turbo twists in gloss black is £500.

What a bl00dy bargain!!

My man is £35 per corner + vat, thats full sandblast, fill in any perfections, paint, laquer and its powder coated, choice from 500 colours.

But I will give more details later, I dont even know if he does polished rims, and he is not an alloy specialist but does do quite a lot of them. Mainly just a powder coating specialist.

Also unsure what he could do with the centers, the plastic ones would be useless I would imagine I will have to get some alloy ones sprayed or powder coated.

I will pass on the details later as I dont know what kind of job he will do but its worth a shot at that price. If hes any good I will post pics and contact info for everyone in a week or so.

Did mine in the end in Subaru steel blue metallic (colour of my RB5 Impreza).

Prepped and primed, basecoat and laquered all myself with compressor and gun and then baked them in my FIL ovens at his factory - here's the results, hope you like them:

Car is currently in LM livery, but gives you the idea

They look great! Suit the colour of the car really well.

they do - its a medium grey with a bluish tinge to it and it changes shade with the light and gives the contours of the twist in the wheels a nice look

my total cost was around £30

the tyre bloke said that too - I've checked and they are fine.

What's the reason? I can only assume shrinkage but the coating is relatively thin and the wheels were baked?

Cheers
