Any news on this - mine is squeaking as well. If OPC won't do it under warranty will be needing this done.

Not a warranty job. Had mine done at an OPC whilst they were doing some other stuff so can't give you a price.

As far as I'm aware no suspension parts are covered by the warranty.

Can anyone post up the part number or a better description. Mines Sqeaking front left and it seems to disappear as the speed rises. (Or maybe you just cannot hear at the higher speeds).

I have had front lower wishbones replaced to stop the squeeking at low spped and when pressing the front wing down

Well known 996 issue, could well replace RMS as the bete noir of 911 water cooled ownership.

Good news indies can go it for c.£200 each + labour.

Yep, RMS is sooooo last year. Squeaking is this year's must have.

Mine was a drop link. Car squeaked when on lock, got bad enough that you could push on the wheel arch for it to be heard.

I'm now squeak free.

For now.

Yup, I'm going through the process of tracking down my own knocking/squeak on the drivers side front susp. Have so far replaced the lower arm and outer track rod (hub end) but still the damn things bangs about like the wheels are going to fall off. Back in on Wednesday for steering rack end of track rod to be done so fingers crossed this time...

Guess the moral of my story is get the garage to do the diagnosis rather than ask them to replace a specific part as it's not always the lower arm.

Mines are squeaking like mad mice, so went to see my indy as I have only had car for 4 months. HE is going to sort this out for free.

Got to wonder if the OPC warrenty would be so plesent to deal with.
