The cars isnt an RS. Its is an RS look car.

The advert says: 6. First Registered: 30-11-91 (Rivervale Porsche) so it cannot be a 1985 SC!!!

The 3.2 project on the guys website is a different car.

The 964 was introduced in 1989 as the K-series. This first run was when they produced the C4 with the Single Mass Flywheel that later was fitted to the RS.

Correct about the 3.2 being a different car. The 964 Ian is selling is a truly magnificent car with a unique retrimmed interior.

Wrong about the flywheel. The 1989 C4 did, indeed, have a single mass flywheel but it's a 19lb unit - somewhat different to the 12lb RS unit which can often give rise to idling problems where it's retrofitted.

I thought the budget was £20k not £30k?

This one on PH looks like good value:

Not the best colour, and no a/c, but it's a lowish mileage 993 for 964 money.

Whoops sorry

you will go a long way to beat the performance and whole package of a E36 M3 (if its an EVO) mine was brilliant just sold 2 weeks ago ... i am porsche specialist and drive all types of porsches and my M3 was far above these cars for practicallity and performance it is as good as a carrera 4S and is loads of fun too...
For the money there is not much out there to compete!

Drive loads of them and see what it has to offer....get a full inspection done on the car you feel best suits you.
Find a good independant for your service and repair work.

Mike

Good luck

Looks like I may need a slightly larger budget, until budget can be extended ( maybe next year...)am going to look at some late BMW ZM Coupes, slightly more grunt and less weight than the M3.

Thansk for all your help.

Fabulous cars, but insane running costs. Looked at these myself.

Insane running costs? Dont see how personally, it should cost the same to run as an E36 M3, mine has been quite reasonable over two years, just dont get London main dealers to service it.

Bit disappointed with your implications.
I would not be that naive to leave my garage door open before I took the images if I had anything to hide. Still there you go.
