I fitted the new Dunlop DZO2G track tyre (stickier of the 2 compounds - obviously!) to my 993RS earlier this year. £745 inc VAT for 4. They replaced SO2's, the difference in grip was mind blowing.....as it should be I suppose.

I've had a couple of days on the Dunlop DZO2G tyres and I would say they are better than the D01Js they apparently are replacing as Dunlops track tyre.
I have another set of wheels with MPSCs on and I can't see me putting them on the car any time soon.

IMHO they are an incremental rather than huge improvement over the DO1J, so if you've used those and liked them you should like these. Subjectiveley I would say they had more bite under braking than the DO1J ( not a MPSC strong point) and once over the limit of grip they are predictable rapidly regaining grip gently but quickly (unlike MPSCs which are a bit all or nothing grip wise comparatively)

One thing I did notice and it's something I haven't had a problem with before is that they were pretty slippy for the first couple of sessions after I'd had them fitted and the tyre pressures kept rocketing upwards requiring lots of bleeding off of pressure. Consensus of opinion was that it was a releasing agent in the rubber. They were fine after a mornings use on track but I haven't experienced this before.

can confirm after silverstone yesterday that toyo 888's are the nuts. Awesome grip and nice breakaway. Really good, even wear. Did total of 2 hours on them and they look about 1/3 or 1/4 done. given the heat i expect 3 or 4 more days from them. brilliant. see absolutely no reason to change next time. certainly wont use the same tyre monkey that gouged out a fecking great lump and bent my mag wheels though. grrrrrrrr

not nearly as bad as donnington which was unbearable. andy fearns whipped the heat exchange thingy off the exhaust which at least meant my blood didnt boil and hair catch fire and we had some coolish air coming through the vents.
