after looking for a gt3rs for the last few months ,ive gone and bought a ferrari 360.a dealer friend who was looking for the gt3 for me came round with this stunning 360 ,and that was it, deal done. so looks like gt3 will have to wait.
The Ferrari effect. We all know they aren't as good mechanically, that they'll cost more money to run, and are often slower, but they still have this inexplicable appeal. A Porsche is the wife you could see yourself with in a few years, the Ferrari is the mistress who has her way with you, drains your wallet and moves on to the next sucker
(don't tell my wife I said that).
p.s. Porsche need to put more effort into exhaust notes!
nice one dan !!!......LOL

I don't think the exhaust note is the problem. My issue is the difference in interior design. I was in a 360CS the other day and it is a work of art - granted it was £130k+, which is part of the answer!! However, it would be great if the GT3 was appointed in a similar fashion inside. Oh well...
Congrats on the purchase of a great car.
Not wishing to put a dampener on your new purchase, but the chap I bought my GT3 off had just taken delivery of a new 360 and was raving about it - a far superior car, he said. He called me a month later and begged me to sell his GT3 back to him, claiming he'd made a huge mistake and he should never have got rid of it. Naturally I said sorry, this one's a keeper.
That said, my ideal stable would be a 360 spider with click-clack 'box and a track-biased GT3. That way I get the mistress and the wife!

Congratulations Paul , a good choice and one you`ll be pleased you made, 360`s are often derided with spurious remarks unbefitting their class . My 360 has been as reliable as my tt , 21 thousand miles on the original ( F1 ) clutch and never fails to thrill , my only criticism is the dipped beam illumination ( non xenon)which is only slightly better the a Griffith, I am however in the process of rectifying this flaw with an aftermarket upgrade retrofitting xenon's.
I love my 360 but if push came to shove and one had to go ( tt or 360) would heart or head rule.....?

Have you seen the interior in a non CS though? It has this nasty taiwanese hifi style painted silver plastic trim. Shocking...

How spurious is that.....Taiwanese hifi indeed ...more Thaionese Bose if you don`t mind...
Not normally a good way of deciding a purchase, otherwise we would all be buying Bristol Blenheims.
BTW, does anyone have a good understanding of 360 running costs vs GT3? Just curious - I really do have a Ferrari itch but based on a lot of comment from those who have owned both, I am struggling to justify it to myself.

You are both right. That 430 steering wheel alone makes the porkers feel dull inside and a screamer is always good to have..nudge nudge
