Trackday - August 17th at Croft
Discussion
Great day as ever John.
Well organised by your people and by Croft. Good cars, good people.
Bit of a shame about the weather, but it did make for some bloody interesting laps
How the hell old Rosco kept the GT2 going at those speeds, in those conditions????????????
PS: Get well soon Leigh.

Damm, just found out where Croft is, In edinburgh so don't realy read these threads as most are far to far away.
I haven't done any track days before, but I would like to try at least 1 & meet some posters, is this sort of event for more experianced trakers? of can novices attend, IE novice + 996Tip = moving shicane, Peolple on here seem to be realy friendly & helpfull so I am sure I could pick up lots of tips..
I will keep a watch out for the next one.

Jonny996, get yourself along to the next one. Won't be till about May 2007 now.
Great day for novice's or experienced trackday drivers alike. In the 4 Specialist Cars trackdays I've been to now, I've never seen or heard anything about problems with slower / faster cars getting on each others nerves.
Just listen to the Marshal's briefing before hand and use your mirrors.

Hi All. Just got back from the hospital. The crutches really suited him. Still no news on a release date. The swelling has to go down (oooh er) before he can leave

Johnny, not the best angle to tell,,,but looks like a cup car to me....
There is an external battery master switch on the scuttle panel and what appear to be grommets in the front wings where the headlight wash would be. (most cuppies have these wings).
I could of course be quite mistaken, but it is very unusual to see a real CS in the UK mate

Last comment = cheeky beggar. See you on the track boyo!!
Does yours have quick release front luggage compartment release clips? Vic's yellow car had these. Do all club sports? This white car seems to have them.

My bonnet does not have these, they were not part of the factory M003 package.
You do find them retro fitted on many cars, particularly those used in motorsport...standard fitment on cup cars obviously.

Home at last!
Hi Keith, twas a case of some nasty bacteria causing quite a serious infection and swelling of an excessive kind in my lower limbs, resulting in a 2 day stay at Darlington Hospital receiving treatment intravenously. Thankfully I'm back home now and getting more mobile by the day.
