Great day as ever John.

Well organised by your people and by Croft. Good cars, good people.

Bit of a shame about the weather, but it did make for some bloody interesting laps eek

Seconded, even though I missed the downpour and seeing tail happy action.

Johnny, not the best angle to tell,,,but looks like a cup car to me....

There is an external battery master switch on the scuttle panel and what appear to be grommets in the front wings where the headlight wash would be. (most cuppies have these wings).

I could of course be quite mistaken, but it is very unusual to see a real CS in the UK mate

There are both the extinguisher and electric cut off switch on the scuttle which would make it more likely to be a cuppie than CS right - thinking that CS only has master switch on scuttle ?
Whatever it is - looks nice in blanco !

Don't listen to him Johnny he's only jealous of your manthey CF wing !

He is mate. Very.

I love white 993 RSs. Mind you, we all missed the fact that this one has wheelarch extensions on it. Some come on Mr Wishbone, what is this car please and who owns it?! Is it the race car owned by a northern chap who races in the Porsche Open? I spoke to that team once when I was spectating at Croft. The car started life as an RS I think, then they put a turbo engine in it. Is this right anyone? Is it the same car I am thinking of?

Yes that will be it boys rolleyes

Now we have a better view of the car and can see the arches, it does look like a step on from a cup car.....could it be a real 993 RSR like this one http://tinyurl.com/l2pjg
or a conversion??...Looks fantastic though either way!

Johnny will you be at Eynsham at the weekend mate?,,,,seeing as the PCGB event is up North this year

Love the eBay car!! It has air jacks! It is worth noting that only the best cars have air jacks. Very rare are the genuine 993 RSRs (not the same thing as a 993 RS CS of course).

If the white car is the machine I think it is, then it is a conversion, but still looks great.

I can't make it to the show.....I am going for a weekend break on a canal boat instead........

Johnny, did you notice the external airline connection socket for the airjacks on the scuttle...same as cup cars..

Airjacks?....just think of all that extra weight!

Shame, have to catch up another time.....have fun on the canals...slightly different pace than track days

Are you sure? It is very cool if it is. Or is it a modified 993 RS CS? The 993 RSR was a very very rare machine and it wasn't road legal originally.

Not dissing the car obviously, but a factory cup car is not the same as an RSR.

JohhnyS...my understanding of JohhnyW's response is that it is a cup car that has been modified to RSR spec.....cuppies were not road legal either,,,,but various additions, such as handbrake, indicators and quieter exhaust csn see them get through an MOT test, providing they are happy with the emission reading.

Yes mate, I read it the same. I was just saying that the car may be RSR spec, but it aint a real RSR!! Same as mine isn't a real CS!! It's not a big deal, just a matter of detail, that's all. It would have an effect on value as well.
