Nervous,
Presumeably the GT3 was the Porsche Richard Burns was driving when his illness first manifested itself.
The car is virtually new.

The car will be at Eynsham this Saturday in general parking if you want to see it. Yes , it is a good one !Comfort model, black leather seats, carbon kit.
For me the fact that RB owned the car makes it that much more interesting.
Don't think I'll ever track it.

We are replacing the GT3 cup car on our stand with one of our road GT3`s. Following on from Friday`s pre-24 hour test the car is needed in the workshop. It`s having a routine gearbox rebuild, chassis / suspension work etc, etc prior to a shakedown on September 6th prior to the September 9/10th event.

not trying to be morbid at all (i was a big burns fan, no 'dick burns' gags please gang) but wasnt his gt3 the car he was driving when he blacked out for the first time cos of his illness and marco martin had to grab the wheel?

I think it was RBs 996 Turbo that he Marko Martin were in on the way down to rally GB.

Damn, didn't check the forums before I went today, would have been nice to catch up with a few of you.

Anyone else do the Cayenne experience - serious hoot going sideways in a muddy field at 50mph :-)

A great day....loads of really special cars and cracking banter with many Porsche enthusiast mates

The 997 Gt3 wasn't too bad either!

What a lovely show, had a most enjoyable dinner on Saturday which carried on long after the (incredible) fireworks had finished, the weather held off, said hello to a few old friends and made some new ones and the traffic was nice and quiet heading home late Sunday night.

Any more pics lads? Paul, that 997 GT3 looks spot on in white. I'd like one next to my car on the drive, that's for sure.

Johhny, here is a taster for you.
You asked about piccys of orange 993 the other day, this kitted carrera looked great in the sun in what appeared to be an orange metallic, as seen on Lambos etc...

Jonny - it was Sir Walter signing it
most people were getting him to sign their lids so I thought
the car is only over there and jumped in and brought it around
he signed Andy Baughans car to later on

What a great time at the ring Manthey Trackday with a new 997 Gt3 going round
then a mint green Gt3 RS shows up

Nigel asked Walter to one of us round the ring in the car so we drew straws
and Sean paul was the lucky winner

said he was the best driver he had been with and he has been around there with some top drivers

Where was you at Eynsham ?

I couldn't go mate. I was on a canal boat holiday. I kid you not!

That is class getting Walter to sign the car, I would have done the same. And my lid as well.

The coolest thing I saw at the show was the 917 seat on the 911 Porsche magazine stand. I haven't got a photo but maybe someone out there has ( just got to have one).
