Morning all,

Does anyone know anything about the Black GT2 for sale with William Loughran? £74,950 seems rather full money and it has been on their web for many months.

For that matter, has anyone dealt with this company before?

Thanks for any info.

Loughans (Willi) have been dealing 'up north' the very best quality desirables for many many years (40 years?); never heard heard a word said against them; always dealt honourably. (Doesn't mean he won't getcha this time! Doesn't like test pilots!))

....i have noticed that one for sale and thought it seamed like an optimistic asking price.

Have been there recently and inspected - very nice. Apparantly cost circa £130k new and now up at £75k with 11000 miles on clock - quite a big hit then for the previous owner!
Loughrans place is fantastic to go visit and look around - fully mirrored showrooms and v.nice cars.
Well worth a looksee if you're in the area.

£126k list and this only seems to have added silver dials - would have thought less desirable without the buckets too (agree £75k looks like 6/7 too much)

i dont know about this but i do know they have an outstanding reputation and only tend to deal with the best examples. I know a number of people who regularly buy cars off william and have never had a problem

also, that RS4 cab is 64k and isnt the list on those in that spec 61k anyway? so a 3k premium if you want it now. you pays yer money and yer takes yer choice!

I’m not sure if it had been written off but is was certainly sat at Weltmeister in June waiting to have its bits comprehensively felt

Rumour has it was stacked half a mile into its maiden voyage in front of the salesman who handed over the keys..plus a few shocked customers as well..

Ouch!!
GT2 sounds expensive (and nobody rings me back anyway - I guess they have hundreds of people looking to spend that sort of money beating a path to the showroom door!).

So, with the same amount of money...what about a late 996 Turbo S ? I know, I know, totally different but what else is there to look at? Suggestions anyone???

The ebay Turbo S is advertised on PH too.

www.pistonheads.com/sales/94383.htm

Wonder what the dealer offered as P/X value on it, against his new 997TT.

I bought my GT3RS from Loughrans. Sensible people to do business with, I've been very pleased with the car. The showroom is worth a visit, the range of stock is outstanding.

Hi Johny

I only live 1/2 mile from Loughrans and looked at the car before i bought a silver one elswere for less money but with more miles on it.The cars in their showrooms are imaculate and i know that car was sold to a local guy who only owned it for about 6 weeks? the trouble is with trying to find a gt2 is there isn't many for sale so expect to pay a price for a good one.Mine has engine upgrades, full leather, a tubi exhaust and came with brand new corsa tyres all round and a new set of pccb's.ITS NOT FOR SALE

Craig,

Do you mind if I ask how much yours was as I am also looking for one! Which year is it and how are you finding it? Whats the engine upgrade you have?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave

Mine is a 02 paid £58850 with full service and full set of corsa's all round. It has a becker sat nav full leather (no cage),not sure on the chip but it is showing 1.1 bar which is more than standard and it has had a full tubi exhaust fitted. To be honest the car is fantastic to drive it feels very solid and is quite happy to tootle around at low speeds very little turbo lag but when they do spin up the car is brutaly quick.I have made a few 500+ mile in a day journeys in it and although it's no jag it munches the miles up just fine 24.4 mpg @ 'motorway speeds'.Don't belive the widow making bo**ocks.

Craig, do you have the bucket seats? The car I have viewed has all options except buckets, I am worried that the car is more sorted if it has bucket seats? It has comfort seats in leather and no cage - don't care about the cage. Its an 2004 car. I guess the leather comfort seats work well on the road but not the track.

Cheers

My car has the leather bucket seats which are no problem to get in or out (unless your 20+ stone)they do support you very well and are comfortable enough on long journeys.Good luck with your choice on the car.
